Our shooters didn't have anyone within 5 ft of them on 90% of the outside shots we've taken all year. If they were being guarded and just checked up at 3:00 they wouldn't still be in your name that's a horrible shot. Sure at the end of games within 5 minutes the shot clock running out nobody was open yeah I get that but that's not what happened the majority of the game.
The bottom line is, the Benny lineup obviously works. The numbers don't lie. Cal should have been playing that lineup from the start.
The best thing about it is, we have 3 elite shooters that have not found a rhythm at the same time yet.
Once they all start hitting shots at their expected rate, this is going to work.
The issue is, we have 6 losses, when we should have only 2.

Our elite shooters missed a lot of open shots against aTm and yes, CJ and Reeves struggled in some games, but our offense was awful all the way around, until the UT game and the offense we all saw against aTm was awesome. Everything but shot making from some damn good shooters.
The offense was better. Cj curling around screens on the baseline hadn't been done all season. They even ran a few nice inbounds plays for Reeves to get an open 3 off a screen. They definitely have more confidence right now which comes from making a few.
Cal is to blame for the offense no doubt. Because wheeler is small and quick he never felt the need to have players running screens. He's made the comments that this lineup has to swing the ball more and never let it stop to generate better offense. Cal, every lineup should have been playing that way ......When your 4 teammates stand still .... Nothing happens. No idea what he was watching, but I've not understood the horrible half court offense for 13 seasons. There's a lot that is different in the past 2/3 games besides a line up change
