Acording to sources at KSR, Cal claims he is bringing the Tweak back. Cal went on to say there wasn't going to be a tweak with the lineup or calling plays or a certain player but more of a tweak in building confidence in some of the players.

Fingers crossed the tweak will help going into the SEC tourney, just like in 2014.

My guess is it's having Briscoe do different things off the ball to make his defender move out of the paint so our bigs can operate.

In direct response, Loserville Head Pimp, Quick Squirtino, was quoted he would be tweaking his
beak in preparation for the West End Fornicators Invitational, which is scheduled to get underway
on March 8th at 7pm, and is anticipated to last for 15 seconds.

Briscoe in constant motion as well as setting screens would make us almost impossible to scheme for. NO WAY is Cal gonna let him shoot us out of either tournament. He gave him plenty of opportunites to prove he could knock down open J's, he couldn't do it and now Cal will make adjustments (that nobody will have planned for).

I mean, how can you tweak this team? Was he sandbagging everyone by having Skal play like he was lost all season? Is he going to throw Tai in? Going to small ball?

BTW, how hysterical would it be if he actually did throw the first 3 quarters of the season by reserving Skal and making him the "heel", knowing full well he's the next KD.

He has worked on Briscoe's shot and he is shooting over 90 percent for the f/t line, 80 percent form the field and 70 percent for 3's.. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The Mystery of the tweak. So much stuff I wish it could be - but he's already basically said it's mental and related to building confidence. If I can get my wish list.. Ulis - change nothing, Murray change nothing, Lee - rebound and no stupid fouls (little can be done about the crap fouls that are called) hit free throws, Poythress - Score rebound and stay in the game (Ditto on the crap fouls). Briscoe hit free throws. Skal - either play the 5 or get off the floor this season. Willis - get well and dead-eye from 3. Hump - continue to step up. Matthews - take a deep breathe and just play (smart). Dom (be the March surprise - hit what you shoot). Mulder be ready... really be ready.

Last what I really wish - I wish Cal has been holding Tai back for the right time - and now it's time to release the Kraken!!!

Hey - it's a wish list - lol.

Give me a break . I hate the idea of " I've had this team since Nov and now I'm going to do something differently" and the lapdogs lick it up . Really tweak IB's shot selection for us coach .

I hope it's a little more Mulder and less of Matthews. Put another player on the floor that has a chance to knock it down from the perimeter. It's worth a shot.

I'm not sure if there ever really was a tweak. No way Cal let's Briscoe shoot jumpers by tournament time. That'll be a tweak in itself. Maybe Skal goes on some kind of high testosterone intake regimen. We devise a plan that keeps Willis completely out of foul trouble when he comes back. All would make us better.

My guess- the guards make an effort to get the ball into Poy early in the game to try to get him going and engaged in the game. That is what I would do anyway.

Could it be having Briscoe run the point more with the shooters off ball on the wing? He's great getting to the rim for a layup or dishing it out to someone beyond the arc. This would open up the paint a lot more. He did say it's not a huge change, and a few more possessions of Briscoe running the point with multiple shooters on the court would be a tweak but nothing significant.

Excellent observation, put Ulis and Murray on the wings. Briscoe can get to the basket driving the ball.
