We really need to come out with some plate discipline and work some counts. Going to need baserunners today. Of course, being aggressive has worked for us all year so I guess we need to stick with it.

Anybody notice how yoked them boys were? It's hard to think they will go this whole weekend without dropping some bombs. Will need about 8 runs today IMO.

Wasn’t last nights pitcher drafted? I think their whole rotation was drafted. I pointed out a couple of days ago that Stanford’s draftees were chosen considerably higher than our’s as a whole.

Stanford is good. The announcer were talking before the game last night about how this is probably the most evenly paired super regional.

We really need for Plumlee to be on tonight and finish the series off. The longer this thing goes, the more the edge shifts to Stanford.

We need to jump on them early. Put the pressure on them and let the crowd work on them.

I think that delay took something out of the crowd last night. There were lots of lulls.

Need them to go ape tonight.

No, he's a sophomore. But yeah, they are really good. Not sure why Rosebowl said they were overrated. The most talent we will see outside Vanderbilt.

Their remaining two starters were drafted in the 4th and 6th rounds. They also have a closer who didn’t pitch that was drafted in the 5th.

The entire PAC, including UCLA, is overrated. This guy has a 3+ era and is their #3 for a reason.

Stanford’s clearly a solid team, and I don’t know the context behind Steve’s comment, but I have to assume that it had something to do with their top 5 ranking for much of the year.

Their SOS is one of the worst of any team in the Top 25, they played 16 Q1 games to our 38, and they were just 9-7 in those games.

None of that changes the fact that they’ve got a lot of talent that’s capable of getting to Omaha, but while the 11 seed is probably about right, I don’t know that the Top 5 ranking was ever justified

Nice stats and all, but I saw two national title caliber teams last night
