Hesitant to post the following because I've always been superstitious both as a player & in all my latter years in & around athletics & never wanted to jinx a club, but here goes. IMO this club has gotten over the hump psychologically. They have gone from thinking that they can win to believing that they will win. They expect to win every time they step on the court. Huge step.

Someone in one of the threads following the loss to PSU I stated the following:

"I know it sounds strange right now, but, I THINK that may have been the loss to get this team over the hump psychologically (or something very similar)"

...there is now NO doubt in my mind that it did!

NCAA Tournament invite is not set in stone.Another win may be needed to lock up a spot. Hope they are thinking that way and not resting on their laurels.

Lock . It’s done. But i do think they may play better when they have to lay it all on the line. They do have a habit of poor starts when not entirely focused. I hope we’re done with those

I've been posting for awhile that we'd be in with one more win out of the last 3 and that I thought we'd get one and we got two. No jinx there. In fact, embrace science and rational thought just a bit more and forever dispense with your worries. Come to the light, lol. Good post - I agree we really grew up a lot over the last few games, in particular, with their backs up against the wall, especially with the road win at Purdue. We're going to be a tough out...

I have been saying ALL season how hard it is to learn how to win as a program when there is no one on the roster that has done it before ...when it’s an entire group of kids learning how to do it on the fly together

Think back to football...all of those painful losses in 2004 and start if 2005, then they started to learn how to win the close games and close them out and got over the hump

This getting over the hump started with the penn state first half...I would have loved to have been in that locker room...because that team turned the light switch on right there and then...it stopped playing “not to lose”
And Started to play to win. We started to play through and not think and react. We started to play north - south

Even though we fell short ...that has changed the mind set of this team ...and I think we crossed over the hump for good

Love to get 1-2 wins in the big ten tournament and at least a win in the ncaa so this team tastes it (think football game ...think insight bowl) and most of it returning for a potential major march run in 2020-2021
