The SWAC is moving their games to the place the virus is contained, e.g. Deutschland.

I don't know if the SWAC will survive as it is. It might actually be gone if this happens.

The SWAC has the highest average attendance in the FCS. Jackson State averaged 30,000 fans/game last season.

Fixed your quote for you.
You are correct, of course. I am just saying that if college football exists anywhere, the SWAC will get the funding for it, either through the private market or through our tax dollars. They have played some great ball over the years, with many fabulous players.

Not happening. The Feds will subsidize the SWAC if they have to.

Many of those schools will lose some of thier sports teams. Valley is barely hanging on to sports as it is. I didn't say it would not survive. I said as it is.

The Tigers averaged over 33,000 last year and the SWAC and MEAC were the top two FCS conferences with the highest attendance.

If the SWAC sued ESPN et al. for discriminatory practices in broadcasting and funding issues they would win going away. The SWAC will survive one way or the other.

Could the following scenario be legitimate? SWAC schools have essentially all black fans. The SEC has mostly, probably in the upper 90s %, white fans. Blacks seem to be more susceptible to Covid, presumably mostly because of living conditions and not because of inherent differences in humanity. Could it be the SWAC is trying to protect its fans?

Plus, the SEC and Power 5 in general, have a lot more money invested in athletics, mostly football, and have the most to lose by canceling the season, so are willing to take more chances.

I've not been to a game at Memorial in years but I remember back to the late 80s when I was an undergrad at MSU, parking at a family member's place on Taylor, and walking to games and that's a longer walk than you'd think...

I suspect the cost of covid testing the players and football personnel was a big factor in the SWACs decision to postpone the season. Anybody have an idea what it will cost an SEC team to do all the testing that will be required to play the season?
