SO I JUST HAPPENED TO PICK UP A COPY OF TODAYS SUNDAY STAR LEDGER. 11/27/2022. WHY I DONT KNOW, I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION THREE YEARS AGO. WELL NOW I KNOW WHY. THEY HAD NO MENTION OF THE OUTCOME OR FINAL SCORE OF YESTERDAYS GAME. THEY DID HAVE A PREVIEW OF THE GAME AND STAFF PICS. DO THEY NOT KNOW THE GAME WAS PLAYED YESTERDAY? THAT IS A JOKE, THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED FOR PUBLISHING THAT. NEVER AGAIN.

Good grief dude. Stop yelling. I'd really rather not read a re-cap of the game.

Look again: are there *any* stories about games that were played yesterday? The early editions of Sunday papers often go to bed very early. That is probably why the only story was a "pre" story.

How much does the Sunday ledger cost ?
That used to be a great Sunday section in the fall. Hs and college football. NFL previews .

Probably because he has trouble typing. That aside, today’s print edition had a nice front page story about the academic benefits of being in the Big 10. At this point, no one should be relying on print for post-game coverage.
It's great that the academic benefits story is on the front page of the Sunday paper, which usually has higher readership than the paper during the week. As I said in a separate thread, *everyone* in the Rutgers community -- students, staff, faculty, alums -- should be sent that story.

It was in caps so you all had something to complain about besides the play on the field.

Hi, first time poster here. Lapsed RU fan. Attended in late 90s. Wife competed in a varsity sport at RU. I played rugby for several seasons. Two years ago when doing the taxes she gave me a receipt for an R Fund donation. I yelled "WTF!" and said I'm ok with a donation to RU athletics but earmark it to your former team. I attended the Boston College football game in September with my family, first RU game I've seen in years, and out of extreme boredom watched Saturday's Maryland game. Then I found this site and signed up.

When I bought the New York Post yesterday, the paper with the biggest and best sports section of any US newspaper today, I was surprised the Rutgers-Maryland game didn't get a mention, not even a sentence. Look, I know the New York market focuses on pro sports more than other B1G markets, and maybe more than any US market. Still, the Rutgers athletics media department is doing a lousy job if they aren't getting exposure in New York media when at the same time hyping up to whoever will listen how great it is that Rutgers is in the New York market.

I subscribe to nj.com and view their Rutgers sports coverage to be better than most of their work.

I preferred the Newark Evening News.
Used to deliver the Evening News back in 1960. Weekly I believe was $0.35. Sunday $0.17, raised to $0.19 during my employ. Hurt my pocketbook, because people who gave me a quarter and let me keep the change didn’t up the tip when the price increased

Well, the games are now on WFAN and WCBS radio. Jerry Recco was hired years ago as the voice of men’s hoops and that has paid dividends with a bunch of positive mentions on the Boomer and Gio show on WFAN during morning drive time. Honestly, the least of our problems is a NY Post omission of one of our crappiest FB games. I’m almost glad they left it out.

The Sunday Star-Ledger USED to have an awesome sports section.
Yeah...well...it sucks nowadays. Their coverage of high school football playoffs was so skimpy it almost wasn't worth the time. Not even a rundown of the results. Just one article on the big massacre by Bergen Catholic of Don Bosco.
Sad.
