Look, I know it's not a popular subject with some people. But here's the reality - free throws don't usually tell the story. It's the BAD CALLS. I haven't kept stats but rarely does a BAD CALL go our way. I would even speculate that 9 of 10 BAD CALLS go our opponents' way. This is a bad stat when the game is close. Given the Higgins saga, it's very unlikely that we'll be fortunate enough to win a title unless we have a truly dominant team. We'd have to do the equivalent of drawing a straight flush during the tournament.

You're nuts of you think refs will keep a team from winning. You only think they make more bad calls against UK because you only care about bad calls against UK. Silly. No refs are against UK specifically. They are just bad refs.

The logical flaw is that you assume the refs have had it in for us from the beginning.
Not sure how anyone can disagree with OP when it's pretty clear the refs screwed Arky, UK, and Oregon last year to clear a path for UNC to play the mighty Gonzaga.

Please stop with the thinking these games are fixed . Nobody has an agenda against us. I catch so much crap due to people saying baseless accusations such as the refs are against us or the NCAA has it out for us. We bring more of a crowd and more money to different cities . I've seen two refs sneer at UK more than others: Karl Hess, and good ol' Pat Adams. And we got them both tonight. Joy of Joys.

I agree with you OP. Like I said. Every 50/50 ball goes towards to the other team.

This. The highlight reel of his incredibly grievous calls is very telling. Early benching of our stars, snuffing of momentum and outright criminal calls are all there for all to see.
I've never thought this about any ref until Higgins. You can't watch some of those calls and no calls and NOT believe he either has money on the game or a major axe to grind against Cal and UK.
Sure we could have played better against UCONN, Wisconsin and UNC but imagine trying to overcome such obviously biased calls against good teams? It definitely changes game planning and creates hesitation on the part of our coach and players.

Cal and the NCAA do not have a good history. Cal has been openly critical of the NCAA for years. If you don't think an organization is going to try to keep millions of dollars in their pocket, I m sorry but you need to wake up.Cal openly says that the money should go to players families. Optics matter, storylines matter. UK always has a fanbase that travels really well. Higgins is openly anti UK as his lawsuit(thrown out) against a media company supportive of Cats. I don't think they blatantly give bad fouls,bit do think they give block/charges against UK as well as fouls killing momentum. There is a stat of Higgins called games in tourn against Cal.

Fixed...SEC Refs are bad and usually the SEC refs favor the home team...but I question the current crew of SEC officials...they seem bad in Rupp as well...but I'm sure you will disagree.

Every call that was remotely close with the exception of a walk on Knox at the top of the key went against us tonight. That is a true statement.

Let me ask you, what makes some of you SO adamant its impossible? That NBA ref was busted. Multiple schools have been busted cheating this year. Why would it be out of the realm of possibilities that a college ref was corrupt?
