We played 2 or 3 on 5 the whole game. Whitney, Brooks and Hagans were zero threat on offense. Honestly Whitney and Brooks have pretty much been zero threat offensively all year. When you have lineups on the floor where Richards is your second best scorer you have big problems. EJ is the same way as well. We have way too many players that can’t score.

Depending on Maxey to bail us out every game isn’t going to work.

The real issue was lack of pressure on the ball and getting stretched on defense.

I agree that our offense sucks and if Whitney is going to be on the floor quickley maxey and sestina need to be out there too. What happened to some pick and pop plays for sestina? He was Poot utilized. On balance the whole thing is a cluster f

Watching this offense is just torture. It was during the Michigan state game too but they missed everything and Maxey hit a few daggers

Brooks was the leading scorer on La Lumiere .......... this is a Cal problem..... not a brooks problem. ... here's an awesome idea........ lets recruit a team of guys that only 1 has a chance of a real NBA career and make them all play one on one ball to score. sorry no sets practiced for you to actually run good plays to score... nope.. we only care about trying to get guys ready for 1 on 1 ball in the NBA rather than winning.

Thats one huge issue I have with cal, we dont run any plays at all, its just the same motion sets all game and one on one ball. He.legit doesnt draw up any plays trying to free up anyone for easy baskets. You either score one on one or thru the motion set and if that aint working plan b is go out and score one on one.

we run tons of plays. coming out at half, we ran a play to nick a shot in the post. he missed it. we ran a few plays for sestina in the post, didnt make plays.

the problem is some fans arent as smart as they think they are. for them we we dont score its because we dont run plays. thats false. you really think cal ran all these amazing plays last week, but none this week. use your brain.

college basketball comes down to two things. (1) effort. (2) execution.

uk did neither tonight. its that simple. stop trying to be an X and O guy...you are terrible at it.

Looked slow & sluggish, repeat of Auburn game. Missed free throw opportunities at end of game & near the end of game a play for Nick with his hook was rediculous. 1/2 court offense non existent. NO rebounding as usual. Predicted 10 losses & sweet 16 exit, may rethink that.

Ky seems might be a little overrated being beat by a team in Rupp even if Ky did not play well which they didn't but still should beat an Evansville team. They were pitiful.

I’m not a sky is falling type of fan but if tonight is any indication of what our offense is going to look like then this is going to be a long and frustrating season.

You’d be a genius if you were half as smart as you thought you were.

Anyway, your point is the issue. Stating we ran plays then use Nick and Nate as examples. Those were nothing more than simple post ups. Most middle schools can do that. That’s the extent of Cal’s “offense.” A few post ups, a couple screens and a ton of standing around one on one ball. There’s a reason our offense looks horrible nearly every year.

Analyze, pick apart, offer excuses, WHATEVER! UK just lost to Evansville IN. At home. Team full of “future” professionals. Ranked #1. In the middle of recruiting season. With Cal as coach. If I weren’t alive to witness it, I’d probably never believe it.

Who grades these players ?? Whitney and Brooks are 5-6-7 stars right ( I jest) ? They look lost . Maybe Cal just isn't putting them in position to succeed ? I just know if they are legit offensive threats we are hiding the hell out of them . Seriously , can either of them shoot ?

Le Lumiere ?? That a French or Italian semi pro league ? I'm trying to laugh because after Sat and Last night I feel done . Not just beat down but beat out . Sports is supposed to be fun.

Whitney is a Jarred Vanderbilt clone. Freaky athlete who can't throw the ball in the ocean.

I went to the UK web site and looked at the shot charts from last night. I counted I believe 7 missed layups in the play by play. Not counting the short shots in the paint. OMG why does it seem we go through this every season, not being able to finish.

If I've got the size of Nick/EJ deep in the post, I'm trying to dunk everything I can. Either I'm making the dunk and getting the and-1, or their fouling me and I'm going to the line for 2 shots.

watch basketball, its everyones offense. i know for many they are locked into hoosiers, 8 passes, wide open shots. but thats not the way it works. anywhere.

Everybody is trying to jam it into the post? Or if that's not there swing it around the perimeter until somebody decides to drive it into the same spot where the big guy is clogging up the lane? Every team refuses to make any in game adjustments offensively or defensively whatsoever? No wonder college ball is dying.

It was bad enough losing to a team like Evansville at Rupp. What is even worse is that Evansville didn't really play that well. It would be one thing if they came in and made a million threes or shot lights out. That didn't happen.

They shot just 38% from the field, had 18 turnovers, made only 12 FT, fouled us 20 times (for 25 Fts). The only thing they did well was rebound.

Last night was a disaster. Maybe it won't really mean anything in the long run but I have a feeling it introduced major problems on this UK team to the rest of the NCAA basketball world.
