Obviously I haven't been there in a few years but I listened to the game this morning (4:30 AM) and the noise level seemed just unbelievable!
Where do you live? Yes it was very loud again as it’s been for the entire B1G 10!’ Schedule to date

very loud for long periods of time today...little by little its getting back to how it once was.....while maybe not as loud for some games individually, I think for the season it may rank up there with the best Waters/Bannon years...but obviously since we are on the cusp of a ncaa bid this is the best RAC since 91

What is the best crowd you've seen at the RAC?

Yes, PSU will never be surpassed, partly because of the changes in the RAC since then, but I'd argue that for sustained terror, this season has now become (or will become after the last 2 sellouts) the best overall home season at the RAC since 82/83 when we went 20-6 in the regular season. The crowd today might've been the best one all year.

p.s. Just looked at the box score
Eddie Jordan played 14 minutes : 2 pts. 4 assists 1 for 7 from the floor

Just checked out the YouTube of the game in spurts. How about the back to back Dadika 3’s with the game tied at 61 and 3 min to go?!

Yeah have to agree about the RU/PSU Atlantic 10 final being the best RACmosphere ever. Sustained intensity and mind numbing sound from 30 minutes BEFORE tipoff to the net cutting ceremony at the end.

I was in law school in 1991 so I missed UNLV and Missouri games.

The early 2000s game (2002?) against #1 UConn — a game we lost 64-63 or something, and the game where Jim Calhoun is famously quoted as saying it was the loudest arena he ever played in — is up there in the annals as well.

I’m trying to take this one a time because every game is a slog. Part of me thinks somethings gotta give going forward to with regard to our home v road record. However if the season takes shape as it has this far .. it’s possible we need one more win with Maryland coming in on senior night. The roof could be blown off

While all those games listed were great, no season brings the psychological impact to our opponents before they even hit the floor the way this season does and certainly most of our 10 sellout crowds rank with the best RAC crowds ever.

Virtually every head coach from the other teams mentions the noise level.
Many say it is the loudest place they have played in.

I was at UNLV 91 but not Penn State. I just remember the noise being so loud it was distorted because my ears couldn’t process that volume.

The PSU game was wild and amazing. A few other games were loud as well but I have only missed about 5 home games at the RAC since it opened in 1977. This is by far the loudest our arena has ever been for an extended season. we will have had 10 sellouts this season and our last 9 home games all being sold out. the prices on stub hub and ticket master etc. were the highest ever. Many people doubted RU and didn't buy season tickets and now they are trying to get tickets for individual games. You snooze you lose. Almost everyone around the country now recognizes how loud the RAC is for every game. Each game is a true EVENT.

Saw a game at Shea in 1973 and he hit a ball off Tug McGraw over the bullpen in left field and hit the team bus.
Despite having guys like Adrian Gonzalez, Fred McGriff, Gary Sheffield and Dave Winfield, Nate still has the Padre record for most career home runs.
Machado and/or Tatis may eventually challenge that.

Hear ya. I will say, though, that the guy whose hits screamed off his bat was Gary Sheffield. I've seen 3rd base coaches stand 15 feet off the line to get outof the way of his rocket line drives.
