The problem with Relf passing is......

He floats every pass he throws even if its a spot pass or slant. You never see Relf put zip on the ball like Russell does. As long as it takes Relf's floaters to get to the receiver the DB's are there waiting to break up or pick off the pass. Against Georgia the only pass that Relf put something on he landed it in the dirt about 10 feet in front of the receiver. That was a huge reason that Mallet had such seccess is because he had the ability to launch the passes to the receivers before the defense had time to react. Russell has the arm and accuracy to get the ball to the receivers quickly and give them a chance to make a play and not just get tackled as soon as the catch is made. <div>
</div><div>Ask anybody that's ever played football and they will tell you that a well thrown ball with zip on it is easier to catch than a floater........which could explain some of the dropped passes this year. The receivers know that they are about to get drilled because the ball takes forever to get to them. </div>
