Defense only got gashed on 2 drives. Our offense only looked ****** on 2/3 of Rogers drives. We only lost by 14. Ok i need a little help here

In msstate form looking to tomorrow, I would add that all of my fantasy teams are heavy favorites tomorrow, but that is usually the kiss of death.

Special teams were ok. Only turnovers were from the Beach Boy.

1st half crap 2nd half 50/50

We are playing a lot of young guys and only the OL looks like rookies most of time.

Time to use our TE's as short receivers too.

It could have been much worse. The youth is taking over the team and I think that is a good thing. The second half looked closer to what I expected this year so I think that should be the building point from here on out. That effort can beat some teams this year, including our rival. If this is the bottom I think our Bulldogs are going to be ok.

What happened to the thread with the video of them being hauled off the field? It seems to have vanished.

Not saying we are about to set the world on fire, but Rogers was 15/18 with 120 yards, 1 TD, and no turnovers today. He is going to make our offense better, IMO.

I feel better about us showing improvement in the second half of the schedule than I did a week ago. Again, we probably won’t be good offensively, but I think we improve in November.

Rogers at QB needs to be the base from which to build this team up. The second half didn’t look too bad. We saw some new run plays today with the quick pitches to the outside. Hopefully they can stop the bleeding and have a chance to learn and get better. That wasn’t happening with KJ.

The best chance this team has to win is with KJ playing like he did vs LSU. Get KJ right. If Leach can't do that I don't want him coaching here. Rogers can't throw the ball past 20 yards. He's not ready physically or mentally. You can't throw a 4 yard out 3rd n 14 with 5 minutes left in the game down 2 scores. Can't happen. He's not ready nor should he be. Fix KJ.

What changed from one game to the next with Costello? He had easy throws against LSU and we still turned it over four times. If LSU dropped eight that game would have looked just as bad. I wish he would be better and protect the ball too but he has yet to do that in four games. Costello is guaranteed to give the ball to the other team.

Two positives:

The pick 6 went our way this week.

There's still a chance the Egg Bowl won't be played, saving us the embarrassment of losing to a pretty bad Mississippi team.

I tend to agree with this.

I'm guessing full on mutiny. WRs & OL won't play for him. Maybe he made an *** of himself after the LSU game idk but nobody else on offense has played like they did vs LSU either. Ain't just Costello. He's just the lowest hanging fruit most obvious to see struggling. Where's the WRs making plays for him like they did all night long vs LSU? Where's the time he must have to be able to step up and throw the ball? LSU was blitzing him all night and he still had way more time than these last 3 games. OL has been atrociously bad. So my guess is mutiny. Happened in the national title game for LSU vs Bama. LSU OL wouldn't play for Jefferson. They didn't move the ball past the 50 all night long.

Doesn't KJ Wright play for the Seahawks, don't think defense is our biggest problem?***

Yeah I guess a 4 yard out with defenders in your face is much worse than a good ole pick six at that point.

I don’t think anyone can throw the ball past 20 yards with 2 seconds of protection. Not like KJ was dropping dimes against the same team. I wish KJ would step up and play like a veteran but the kid outplayed him given the exact same circumstances because he could hit the hot routes when pressure was coming.

I’m a bit more leaning toward play Rogers and build for the future at this point. KJ just doesn’t seem to have the attitude and adjustments given 3 games of opportunities.

Sorry to break this to you, but we can’t force the defense to play man coverage... Even then, he still turned it over 4 times... I also like how you ignore the multiple darts Rogers threw on the run. Here’s the thing, all of his throws had zip and were damn near all tight spirals; can’t say the same for Costello. Rogers makes quicker decisions, better decisions, better throws (especially when he showed his mobility), a quicker release, and just out right commanded the offense better, and overall had the rest of the guys playing better. He may not be ready, I’ll give you that, but that’s just being a freshman... What you’re calling “ready” sure isn’t gonna happen with Costello though. Costello can’t be “fixed;” he simply doesn’t have the capabilities asked to run this offense in a league like this, and Rogers showed he can. The fact you’re willing to give up on Leach in less than a full season, who’s had an incompetent QB playing for him for weeks, shows what kind of fan you are. I don’t think you realize Leach had the luxury of not playing an All-SEC schedule, and actually having a spring in his initial years at Tech and Wazzu

This take has to be a troll

I’m wondering if 61 is just trolling too. That take is like saying “I just want everything to be like week one.” LSU has a bad defensive coordinator and his team put up very little resistance. Rogers is doing fine so far, mainly because he is protecting the ball. His end zone pick last week was stripped from a receiver. Our defense is good enough for the offense to play dink and dunk for now. They can win low scoring games. We just can’t give the ball to the opponent, especially in the end zone after long drives.

He threw 2 int vs LSU not 4 and he also set the all-time SEC record for passing yards in a single game with 623 (5 touchdowns thrown). If you think 165lbs Rogers has a stronger arm than Costello and throws with more zip there's really not much point in arguing with you especially if you're gonna spin everything Rogers way. I like Rogers just fine and I think he's performed well for a true freshman but it'd take him throwing till Christmas to get up to 623 yards. Costello did that in one game. There's zero threat of a mid to deep level passing game without KJ right now. It's not really KJ's fault the DE's are asking him on a date in his ear .5 seconds after the snap. Maybe Mike Leach should have an answer for that after coaching for a quarter of a century. The grand wizard of the Air Raid with the philosophy of attacking them where they ain't doesn't seem to understand how to attack them where they ain't right now when it's a 3 man defensive line gang raping his OL. Maybe just maybe Leach should exploit the Texas sized gap the DE is leaving open because he's sprinting straight up the field like a cheetah on crack to sack our QB. Or does that somehow break Leach's sacred rule of the Air Raid attacking them where they ain't.

Quarterback ...took sacks without throwing ball up for grabs thus holding opponents score down. A plus.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Eiland started at RT today and looked terrible. We switched back to dolla bill in second half and Eiland to LG where’s he’s been starting, but db got hurt immediately- so we moved Eiland back. Cole Smith then came in at LG. I don’t know who started at LG but don’t think it was Smith.

ETA: I think Sharp started at LG
