At this point, you have to figure a lot of cancelled games from here on in may not be made up. Makes you kind of wonder on some of them. Take Baylor for instance. I’m not saying their pause isn’t real but why rush back. What incentive is there really for them to play the two games that were just cancelled against WVU?

They’ve got a good thing going, don’t see why they’d want to prolong the pause any more than necessary. When you’re arguably the top team in college basketball, I don’t think you fear or are looking to run from any challenge. Would probably like to maintain their momentum as best as possible

As the season goes on, there will be more and more teams that would just as soon not play certain games. Michigan extended their pause due to logistics? Was that logistics or did they not want to face Illinois at home after not playing for weeks and weeks. Maybe they thought a road loss at Wisconsin would look better. Maybe none of this is going on at all. I’m mostly just wondering if there are controls to prevent it.

Michigan clearly did not want to face the Illini so soon. They postponed that game allegedly because they needed more time to get in game condition, but their women's team which faced the same exact "pause" situation is going ahead with their game @ Purdue on Thursday. The difference? Purdue's women's team is really bad and Illinois' men's team is really good. It's so obvious yet the Big Ten just sits idly by and doesn't do anything. Just like with the football season, they are providing very little leadership.

A bunch of games were shuffled around so at least Illinois doesn't have another 10 day layoff. But the Michigan game still hasn't been rescheduled. Guess the B1G is waiting for Michigan to tell them when they want to play it.

Michigan State didn’t get to spend a week “reconditioning” did they? Nobody on the Michigan men’s basketball team even had Covid whereas some of the Spartan players were returning from being sick - right?

It is what it is this year. I think it’s pretty crummy of a program if they intentionally delay playing games or use this as excuse. These are amateur athletes who want to play and fanbase who wants to see them play.

Haven't seen any reports of cases on the Michigan team. Maybe there's other reasons, if so they should be more transparent about it IMO. The other thing is they are now forcing their team to play more games in a compressed schedule. As well as other Big Ten teams and there's not much room to squeeze in more games.

Nebraska has played only 7 B1G games. Are they going to make them all up? 13 games in under a month?

Nebby is playing quite a few games in the next week, almost every other day
