15.6 ppg PG Jackson Shelstad likely out again. Oregon overcame his loss in a 64-54 win at Maryland. His absence moves this game into the winnable column for Rutgers. Oregon is 5.5 point favorites

I checked the wires and Shelstad's status for this game was unknown as of this morning. Obviously, it helps a ton if he can't play but they were still able to go into the XFinity Center and win without him. The big balding guy on their team looks like he's 35 but officially it says he's 22. He's really good.

The issue for us is our youth. They have the experienced guys that know how to handle crunch time. I can see a scenario where we have a small lead but they close out the last 3-4 minutes in dominating fashion.

If Shelsted is healthy its a 15 point or more loss

Don't get sucked in by last game. I wonder what the stats are for West coast teams coming to the East coast in wins. Like the first and second games since they stay out here for 2 games. Anyhoo.....

Like I said last game, it all depends on Pike

If he will leave the "hot" combos in and let them play when they get momentum, RU has a chance

if he is going to do his "mandatory" line changes because that is what he planned to do 4 minutes earlier, destroying the rythym and synergy it will be more of the same in the L column

Does it matter who plays for Oregon? Oregon 80, Rutgers 60 as 65 is our scoring speed limit.

that said i stupidly flew to Oregon last year for our first game out there. Oregon shot the lights out from 3 like ive never seen. We lose big tonight.

beautful but steeile arena with no atmosphere. Great campus, and delicious German food an beer. Will be back for more sadness when we finally play in autzen

Well, we had a small lead with 3-4 minutes to play, but we didn't choke like I thought we would. This is now two games in a row where these guys look like a real team. There are going to be games where the talent differential is too great or the ball isn't going in for us. But you can't deny these guys are playing their best ball of the season right now and if nothing else, making the games watchable, unlike that Delaware State performance.
