Very winnable game and want to pick RU but after 3 straight losses this is a must win game for Indiana to kerp realistic NCAA hopes alive. Inflated NET but lacking quality wins. They won't be sleepwalking.

Anyone know what style Indiana plays? Haven’t watched much of them. Odd that they don’t have a single guy averaging 5+ rebounds per game. Do they play a 5 out style with no center?

They’ve actually lost four in a row, but to Nebraska, MSU, Iowa, and Michigan. So they’re reeling a bit, and are likely going to be desperate tonight. This is a must win/must can’t lose game for them, as it would be a quad 3 loss.

IU has a lot of length on the perimeter just like Iowa, and they have a really good scoring tandem in Lamar Wilkerson (19.0 ppg) and Tucker DeVries (14.2 ppg). Both can fill it up from deep, but they also have a solid supporting cast with five guys averaging 6.0 to 11.5 ppg. Overall, they average 81 ppg and have a solid defense giving up only 69 ppg.

On paper, IU has the clear edge, but maybe that’s offset by the losing streak, perhaps a little RAC magic, and Rutgers’ weird dominance over Hoosier basketball over the past several years.

But I’m in your camp — I just can’t pick Rutgers against a top 10 B1G team.

I share your pessimism, but my gut (maybe overly influenced by my heart) tells me RU somehow finds a way to squeak this one out - RU 74-IU 72

Having not seen Indiana this seems like a game where we will need to have success on the offensive glass to pull it off.

it’d be nice to shoot lights out from 3, but then again, for whatever reason better perimeter shooting doesn’t seem to translate into positive outcomes for this team. At least not to date. We’ve lost every game where we’ve hit a high volume from deep so far this season (except Rider?). So there’s that.

I’m encouraged by the fact that both teams have played Iowa recently, and we fared better than Indy, who played at home and lost to Iowa by 17, while we played at Iowa and lost by only 6 (and had a legit shot to win it).

Rutgers wins, 71-67.

Not that it's ever an accurate barometer, but ESPN only gives RU an 18% chance to win this game.
I kinda get it. We lost to a quad 4 team on our home court (by a lot) earlier this year. But more recently, we've played tough against OSU and Iowa, teams that are better than Indiana.

As we've seen this year, Francis is the only guy on our team that is remotely consistent. Everyone else can have a really good game, or a stinker. So it really depends on how many RU players have a big night.

Whether this game is close or a blowout either way, I don't think you could consider any result surprising.

I am sure any rare or popular cards if it isn't concealed in a wrapped has been scooped up already by someone at Rutgers. There are too many people in promotions and people handing them out get first dibs.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Right now there are two seats on Stub Hub for section 103, row L for "only" $161 each. I'm super tempted to buy them but my fear is I'll get to the arena and they'll say they don't have any of these $400 cards left. I'll be very curious to hear from those folks on this board if they got a card or not. If you do have a ticket, get there early and bring some kind of container/holder so that if you do get the card, you can keep it in pristine condition.
