Okay, a non-hunting dog related post for this thread: I just received antique plates for my truck and it was… an experience. I had hemmed and hawed about applying for antique tags for years and finally decided to after talking to a family friend who owns a garage in my wife’s hometown. I applied for a duplicate title for my truck in June, it showed up a 2-3 weeks later. I got the rest of my paperwork together and mailed it out. The paperwork needed was extensive all things considered. I had to send two state forms, a check, the title, proof of insurance and photos of the front, both sides, rear and VIN. (The partridge in a pear tree was shipped separately.) I mailed it out July 3rd, the check cleared the 10th so I thought I was in the clear and started playing the waiting game. The paperwork gets bounced back to me on the 24th. Apparently I sent the wrong amount, didn’t include a photo of the VIN, and the picture of the front of my truck was at an angle so it wasn’t acceptable. My truck was in the shop to get some odds and ends done so I texted my mechanic for new photos while I got the other stuff together. I just missed my mailman on August 1st so the resubmission went out the 3rd. Nothing for weeks. I finally called the DMV. The lady was as bewildered as I was about why they hadn’t cashed the check yet. She assured me she’d get ahold of that department and have them call me. Two days later I get the call the registration and plate have been mailed out. It showed up in my mailbox today.

TL;DR: if you plan on applying for antique, collectors or vintage registration/plates, make sure your paperwork is in line with everything they want, or use a notary if you’re really not sure.
Do not keep old vehicles. It’ll save you a headache.

Day 2 of my Wyoming elk hunt. 85 degrees. Sat over a water hole in a ground blind for the evening.
10 cows and this boy came in! 12 yard shot. He was good enough for me. We had elk around us everyday in the national forest. So awesome!!! 😊😊. Estimation of weight 900 lbs. these animals are huge. Got him packed out a midnight. Ugh😔. IMG_4816.jpegSome as close as 12 yards.

What's the wrestling equivalent of Ruhgers FB team losing to FBS UMass team that went 0-12 last year in the MAC? Ruhgers wrestling losing to Johns Hopkins (0-5 in the Centennial last year)? Embarrassing....

Doppelganger alert.

Yesterday, I was in the Harrisburg PA Costco.

A young man with a Costco name badge was there who bore a striking resemblance the younger version of Gable Steveson. As he passed by, I could see his name badge read "GABE". I had to take a second look, I thought maybe my morning cold brew was spiked or something.

Are you doing a Euro mount or shoulder mount on him? I’ve seen both done. They both look great. Personally I’m partial to Euros due to the cheap cost.

We quartered him out in the national forest.

i went with a Euro mount. I’m 67 and no more room for stuff like this. I moved from a huge home to a ranch style….. no room big enough. The guys in Sundance took it in on Thursday morning and had the euro done the next day, WOW!!!! I’m your lost brother…. My middle name is “cheap” 😂😂😂IMG_8933.jpeg

Ice Cube Knockout GIF

Wow. Gable Stevenson just got knocked out in something like 5 seconds of the 1st round.

It gets worse. That guy was winless. Steveson then left the octagon before the winner was announced, and got booed mercilessly for it.

Here's a better angle of it. Remember the old Mike Tyson Punch Out video game? Steveson = Glass Joe.

As we get ready to turn the calendar to October tomorrow, my thoughts turn to comfort food.

I’ve already made my chili, and my batch of Stromboli will come soon enough. But as I have a hankering, does anybody have a good borshch or shchi recipe? (And please don’t spell the former with a t).

Oh to hell with you all. And I made the Stromboli over the weekend too given the rain.

Tech question. For the last two weeks my back button will not work on this site. It works on all other sites. Anyone else experiencing this? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks

I don’t mean to give you too much of a hard time, friend, but you are training to be an engineer?

I got my degree in ESci there. In the first or second week they tell you to reboot in a case like this. My back button works. 😉

I restarted my computer when I got the update two days ago. Still only did not work on this site. I will take your advice and shut down completely.

Retired engineer, thank you very much.

Turned off last night and now it works. Still do not understand why it did not reset after the update?

As always thanks for the help.
