There will be some serious re-shuffling of the College Football Playoff committee’s top 25 list after Saturday’s games.
#19 LSU at #2 Alabama (Tide may be angry at NOT being #1 in the CFP committeee’s first rankings, which isn’t good for the Tigers)
#13 Virginia Tech at #10 Miami (WVU’s 7-point loss to the Hokies is looking better and better as the season progresses)
#7 Penn State at #24 Michigan State (Nittany Lions have something to prove after the collapse to a 1-point loss to Ohio State)
#4 Clemson at #20 North Carolina State (Wolfpack can be a difficult matchup for any team)
#22 Arizona (Rich Rodriguez team) at #17 Southern Cal (I’m guessing some still-hating WVU fans will be even more irate if Rich pulls this one off and becomes the first place team in the Pac-12 South, waiting for the Washington-Stanford survivor in the Pac-12 North in the conference title game)
#21 Stanford at #25 Washington State
Every Saturday game in the Big 12 could be a down-to-the-wire contest.
#15 Iowa State at West Virginia (if Grier and friends go back to normal instead of their Cowboys shockathon the Mountaineers could pull this one off)
#5 Oklahoma at #11 Oklahoma State (Mayhem is the perfect word for this game)
Always-dangerous Texas at #8 TCU. (Despite the 4-4 Big 12 record, don’t count out the Longhorns in this one)
0-8 Baylor at 1-7 Kansas in The Battle for the Bottom
Kansas State at Texas Tech in a matchup of 4-4 Big 12 teams
