They’re horrible....$$$$$. I think the actuall players should have a say in their quote (safety) and not these money hungry **^%%#^*sss who blanket this with quote (safety) ....Bolonga. It’s their health, let them decide. More people get hurt unrelated to the helmet. Freak injuries.

Football isn't going to be much fun this season. I get what they're trying to do, though. However, it's not going to work.
It’s impossible, and gives the refs way to much power in the outcome of games, which they already had anyway! It’s getting crazy with all these rules...It’s football. It’s their choice to play, just like say boxing..I reckon they should make boxers wear their head gear now too! I think this is about money in some type of way. Like it always is about everything.
I watched the Hall of Fame game (first preseason game) and thought exactly the same thing. There were several helmet rule calls I thought were very questionable. There were also some "catches" that did not meet the eye test either. How the NFL continues to make rules that make the game less watchable is beyond me. It is disheartening to me because I love professional football. The helmet thing is a real issue, but they cannot find a solution that actually makes sense.
I agree it's gonna be painful to watch for the next couple of seasons, but I would like football to exist in 2040, and taking safety measures like this seems to be the only way to make football last.
I've said for years though that another fix is to widen the field by about 10 yards. Guys are bigger and stronger than ever, you have defensive ends who can run 4.4's now, widen the dang field and there will be less injuries.

I guess that could help with the clogging , and the freak falling on people’s legs injuries . That sort of stuff. Kinda opens it up some. Not sure that effects the head . I just don’t understand it. They think football will be banned because of unfortunate head problems down the road? I guess boxing will end soon too then. I just don’t understand . By them saying they’re protecting their game and player safety. I get the safety part , but protecting their game down the road?? Protecting their pockets......
I guarantee you if you held a player / fan vote 99% would be in favor of trashing these rules. And We’re the ones who pay for the crap/ play the dang game! Why the hell should some rich twits have the say so....I’ll tell you why so they can line their pockets . Just piss me off . I guarantee you every damn player that comes into the league would sign a petition to scrap this crap. It’s their life not some rich twits trying to jurstify lining their pockets that sit on their stupid fat asz while getting a foot massage watching and preaching ((“safety”)) ughhhh yea I’m crazy shhhhhh I’m mad... tryna preserve their pockets....more like it ... Of course everybody wants the game as safe as possible but imo it can’t get very much safer ...it’s football..ban it or leave it alone ...NFL is a failure in all aspects, yet keeps pouring in $$$!! Lol I actually think this is going to cause more injuries with guys hitting lower , at players knees and such to stay away from the head.
