They should have just done a FG shootout, neither of these teams can get the ball in the end zone.

From a practical sense it's meh and looks bad with these two teams... from an entertainment standpoint this shitshow is hilarious to watch

I’m a season ticket holder at PS & N, I didn’t go because of the rain. Even I threw up in my mouth a few times

I agree. Another meeting of the Bobs where they vote on new rules they are clueless about.
This is dumb.

Everyone in this room is now dumber for listening to that. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

The amazing Art had another career day. About 75 yards passing for the game.

I don't think the rules are that bad, but then again I saw nothing wrong with the last system. As long as they avoid the NFL route or ties, I'm happy.

I do think they should just call the 3rd overtime and after a shootout period. It's kind of silly to say the game went to 9 OT's when they're just trading 2pt conversion tries.

They need to start at the 30 yard line and no soccer kickoff off like they put in this season..

This wasn’t football in this overtime game..

I've said it from the beginning....give both teams the ball at the 50 and keep the OT rules as they were! That way you cant just have a sniper kicker and it be automatic for one team!

Does the NBA just have a free throw shooting comp for their overtime??! This new way is pathetic and embarrassing!

This does in fact lower the potential number of plays each team might run in OT. Consider that you could potentially run 12 plays per team per OT when you're starting at the 25. I kind of like the 3 yard line 2 pt conversion as a decider. If you can't score from the 3, you don't deserve to win. IF they wanted to make it extra spicy they could give you the option of kicking an extra point instead of going for 2.
