Prayers BC. It's t'tough watching Dad going down hill. I may have fished with him our last time. I get the impression he doesn't want to go even if he can. He's 85, Mom is 82. My wife's parents have both passed away (her Dad 30 years ago).

I enjoyed a hike today. 4.5 miles on the Pine Mountain Scenic Trail....leaves are still nice. I saw a decent buck and he was not even concerned with me. 30 yards away, watched me, and then bedded down right in the trail. I get no respect anymore. It seems that the game animals know I'm not a predator any more. Later, spooked a bear out of a tree....apparently eating wild grapes. He didn't hang around at all.

I only met your dad once, but I liked him. He impressed me as a very good man. Best wishes for you and him.
