Definitely played lights out tonight - and a big reason for the taking down of NUMBER ONE!!!! Damn it feels good to say that!!!!

He needs to take 10-15 shots a game because he is the best outside shooter..
He was hitting his shots tonight - hopefully this is a benchmark game for him where he sees he can play with the big boys/big lights and will have more confidence moving forward.
I’ll eat my words and I’m happy to. I was hard on Spencer a couple weeks ago. He is good, really good and we need to get him more shot attempts. ONIONS
he did have some poor shooting games early on, and it was disappointing at that point

I was critical of Cam because he hadnt proven it as this level. Solid vs cupcakes but struggled in his first 4 games vs real competition. Glad to see my criticisms proven wrong because the last 3 real games Cam has elevated his game and proven himself to be a necessary cog on the team.

He could always play with the big boys. He missed shots short on the front rim against Temple , Miami and Seton Hall. He makes just 1 more 3 in any of those 3 games , we win those games. Tonight hit a big 3 at 40-38 with a late feed from Paul and then the veteran he is , he didn’t panic , got defender Ethan Morton a top defender , to bite on head fake , dribbles left and then drills the game winner. Cool as a cucumber . He is a winner.
also before there is revisionist history, after Dereks play vs Indiana many said that Cam should lose his starting job and its Derek that needs to take his minutes. This wasnt a small group. Just saying. People were going off of Cam vs cupcakes and Cam vs real teams and seeing a difference. He had a lot to prove and he certainly now has proven himself vs OSU, Wake, Purdue
It was so obvious he could ball. He just needed experience at the B1G level.
This won’t be the last big shot he hits. By the end of the season he’s going to be deadly.
And how about Paul’s play down the end. I not sure that I would want anyone other than Paul and Cam in the closing minutes of a tight game. What a duo. One difference this year versus the past is our ability to go 8-9 deep when the refs are killing us with foul calls.
