Love seeing him operate in the low post. Would
It be effective tonight? How about backing down his man, TJD with the double team leaving Cliff open for the slam?

I love Paul in the post. If he’s matched up with a guy he can body on the block, let him bringing it up, clear out one side and let him back right down. If the guy on him can’t stop Paul from getting what he wants down low and needs help, we need to capitalize on the pass out of the post and rotation to the open guy.

Seems like a consistently productive approach for us over the last 2 years.

I like seeing that Pike has gone back to getting Mulcahy on the high post against zones. He was doing this a few years ago when Baker was bringing the ball up.

We were struggling (as usual) against zones for a stretch recently, and was happy to see the adjustment. When Mulcahy gets the ball in that high post in the zone lots of options which dismantles and puts a lot of pressure on the zone (backs in, shoots, lob to Cliff, pass to wings, etc).

Triple threat position (including three and four together) spot on!

Paul was used effectively, just differently. I think he should dominate the ball. Our best chance.
As long as he’s not forced wide to the base line, their are very few good options when the baseline becomes the 3rd defender

I would like to see Paul set up down in the post and have us pass the ball in to him. Too often he starts up high trying to back his player down, and other players dig on him and either create a turnover or get him to pick up us dribble.
