I spoke to someone yesterday that know CLEVELAND COUNTY FOOTBALL as well as anyone he said that THE MIGHTY CREST CHARGERS are the team to beat in the BIG SOUTH and he also said he would put them and C. CHATHOLIC as co - favorites to win the state 3a championship.SO I do not what to hear any sandbagging from you crest fans.

I don’t know about Crest winning the big south this year. We have lots of work to do to even think about competing with KM HH Ashbrook. Our defense looked slow tonight and the offense was sluggish. I think we have a great coaching staff that has the ability to get a lot out of these guys by year end. I sure hope we look better Friday at the jamboree or I’m going to start worrying about a winning season. I was sitting next to a long time Crest fan like 80 yrs old and he said we’d be lucky to win 6-7 gms. I beg to differ and think we could win 7-8. We’re not too big on defense and lacking speed on offense. Just praying we stay healthy and improve each week in hopes of having a shot at KM in the last gm of the regular season. Tonight Crest looked like best team out there, with Hibriten 2nd. 3rd place was Freedom.

That’s the backup J Graham but he will be starter before season starts. D Pryor has a slight injury was held out tonight.
Rb for Freedom got hurt, ankle carried off, Qb got better late in game , but looked sloppy at start. Wasnt getting alot of time in pocket.

Last years starting QB is back plus JV QB moved up. Passing has never been our forte.
One thing we all know for sure. Burns will suck like an Airline Angel, and wont even get paid. They'll just suck for free.

That’s the truth. I like to go back and forth with their fans, but they were impressive. The coaching is extremely evident. Burns has passionate fans, they deserve better and I think they’re getting it.
I was tickled to death. I’m old school and they even got new old school looking uniforms to match the old style. I don’t think any Burns people expected to see that last night. We all have to stay healthy and if they do then Cleveland County is going to make noise. I have not been to a jamboree in about 6 years but never missed one prior. That was the best look I’ve seen out of all 4. I know Shelby lost but in the end they will be in it.

Crest fans needs to appreciate Coach Eddins and realize state championship talent don’t come around every year- very fortunate to have him
D Devine was a great hire
Coach Ware has his work cut out for him on O
Coach Lloyd has talent to win it all and needs to get the monkey off his back but KM fans needs to realize there’s some teams just as talented in 3A that will be a tough out in the POs

I’d say that is Avery accurate assessment. Should be a special year for CC football.
You left out a major weapon for Crest. That kicker is special. Everything else is very accurate.
