The lineups we SHOULD be playing

1 - Vanderbilt
2 - Quade
3 - Knox
4 - Washington
5 - Richards

Coming off the bench: Shai, Diallo, Wenyen, Sasha

Gives us 2 shooters off the ball, which is sorely lacking. I agree with Greenberg...Vanderbilt is a little like Ben Simmons. Simmons/Vanderbilt need to facilitate from the point...drive and kick, etc.

Shai, Diallo, Wenyen gives us some energy and scoring coming off the bench...which we also need.

1- SGA
2- Vanderbilt
3- Knox
4- Wenyen
5- PJ

Zone D for this line up....Long, Rebounding, Shooting, Driving. I think you'd see a nice run with this team

I vote SGA, Diallo, Vanderbilt, Knox, PJ. With Green and Gabriel first off the bench. Could also replace Green with Diallo but I think Diallo gives us better minutes as a starter than he would off the bench. Richards would be serviceable for 15-18 minutes at the 5 off the bench.

By season end I’d like to see this breakdown of minutes.

SGA -28
Knox-28
Washington- 28
Vanderbilt- 28
Diallo- 20
Green- 20
Gabriel-20
Richards-15
SKJ- 13.

But I trust cal to find the best lineup, just my two cents. That’s 9 deep and we could wear teams out like 2015.

So unfortunate that Cal wont listen to you guys. You clearly no more than he does.

Look...I think that's one of the fair knocks against Cal. He does what's best for the players themselves in their future NBA lives instead of what's best for the team. That's just a fact. It's literally the only reason we are not playing full time zone...doesn't help the kids in the league. Think I'm wrong? Look at the advanced stats of this team in a zone vs. man to man. It's not close.

I take it because Cal brings in the top recruits and puts UK in the national conversation each year. But, he's going to remain true to the players over system. Diallo will never be removed from the starting lineup. Why? Because of everything I wrote above.

I don't know why everyone is so down on Quade. He is out best pure point guard and our best 3-point shooter (tied w/ Wenyen), he looked bad Saturday coming off an injury and really did not practice much until Friday.

I don't think anyone is down on him. I think people realize that he needs to play off the ball to best utilize his shooting given the lack of shooters on this team.

I’m not down on Green at all. I just like the look of SGA at PG more especially on the defensive end. I honk Green will have a fantastic career at UK. Kid has the winners mentality, can’t teach that.

But if we can't get the ball down the court and keep turning it over, it won't matter if he plays off the ball because we won't get it to him. You need the ball in the hands of your best ball-handler.
