Living in Louisville, I get almost nothing but wall to wall UofL talk. So anytime there is a UK show on the radio, any kind, I try to listen. That incudes Tom Leach's show and Matt Jones too. I appreciate any and all UK related programs.

That's another great thing about Tom's show. I don't have to listen to some blowhard kissing the host's ***.
Bravo. Leach is great. He knows his horse racing and he doesn't make anything about himself.
You are crazy. Leach is a top notch game caller. I like Matt Jones but he couldn't call a game. His attention would shift so much nobody would know the score.
Leach show is very straight forward has mainly same guests on each week during season so it is a very quick way to get info from several different sources.
That is true, he hardly takes calls but will read a email or tweet from fans sometlmes if have questions for a guest.
Jones and Leach are good 1 to 2 punch, different , but get a lot of info.
I think market is wide open for a good early afternoon show.
Jones has said in past he has been asked to do three hours but felt it would not work as well.

Why do people want to hear idiot callers? Never ever wanted to hear the same idiot call in to say or ask the same topic every call. Embarrassing to listen. Don't know how many times I turned down the volume in the past. Won't listen now. Dang, the Tubby call-ins were painful.

Tom Leach is a class indivual and he has a class show. It is very informative about UK sports. Matt Jones ratings are down so I think he has change his format to try to draw a more generic audience. I believe it is the begining of the end. He has politics on his mind and the show will suffer because of this. I heard most of the show this morning and Vanetti gave it life, he is very good and could be the future host of the show.
It’s a good show, except when they talk horse racing.

Love Leach and wouldn't mind Jones so much if he didn't act like a 3rd grader sometimes.
Its a great show during the season. Keeps you informed on game analysis and recruiting. Once the basketball season dies down...there is not much to talk about when it is UK related.
There is very little chatter about what he did last night, what he thinks about Game of Thrones, ugly bodily functions, etc. I don't get the feeling Tom thinks he is the star, but rather UK is the star.

It's funny you defend Matt first but say nothing of the insults the OP threw at leach. Speaks a ton about your maturity, or complete lack thereof.
I think Tom Leach is a classy guy and don't mind listening to his show at all. KSR can be OK in small doses but they can get so far off UK stuff or just be pompous asses that gets me to shut it off after awhile.
Yes it was quite a while ago. He was even mispronouncing some of the names.

That’s were you are wrong! Ky is about tradition and excellence....past, present, and future.
Tom’s show is awesome. He’s matter of fact. Doesn’t blow liberal politics up everyone’s anus. He’s not trying to draw attention to himself. He’s just super solid and a professional. He also talks great horse racing stuff, which is my favorite sport.
BTW, he’s a great play by play man. I love the guy.
