I am told this one could still go either way in July, then that it won't be over until he signs.

He has both schools feeling good about where they stand.

Similar intel on Whitfield... slightly leaning toward Florida with Nebraska right there...

My question in all of this is what percentage of recruits does a .500 Nebraska program get to commit where we are not the top money offer?

When it's us and Florida we clearly hold the edge with sunshine and hot women. Maybe we pull out the '96 Fiesta Bowl tape?

Lol - playing time is my guess is our best shot? B1G gets the exposure so that is attractive and they want PT in order to get to the League... so maybe it's PT.

I am guessing the % is low.

I read about what Lamont Paris said- South Carolina basketball coach said USC had to be the highest bidder to get all or almost all of the guys they recruited (HS or portal). And so that got me thinking about Nebraska. Nebraska football is roughly the same as South Carolina basketball competitive wise.

I would be surprised if anyone came to Nebraska despite getting significantly higher offers elsewhere. And I would bet that "high bid" status is what keeps a lot of our kids from going elsewhere (except for the kids who actually play and perform well and then we're having to give them more money).
