I'm in Season 3 right now. And to think that Annie was the one who ratted out the group to Dean Pelton about who made that flag.

Thats a horrible plan if true

Four flags for a vote in November?? When they know the general election will turn out a large number of supporters of the current flag? Leaving the others to choose from three flags?

Horrible idea. If they have to vote, make it a special referendum with two choices - current or one other.

Absolutely not. It's been an issue for years, and gained a lot of attention before now, as late as 2015. They deserve no credit for waiting until they were pushed into a corner. This was a layup and they embarrassed themselves and us.

With 4 choices, the supporters of the current flag will all rally around the Magnolia because it's another confederate flag, just not quite so obvious, and it won't even take a majority to win. The fix would be in. Don't let that happen!
The Magnolia flag connected to the Confederacy was a tree...not the flower. Big enough difference, considering we are The Magnolia State.

Words or seals don't belong on a flag. And the stars literally don't mean anything if you had to add a "previous state flags" just because "7 stars looks better than 6."
I don't get why words don't belong. Whatever we want "belongs", regardless of what some folks said in a book.

Words added to the flag could be powerful for us right now. Just need to pick words that will stand the test of time...never look silly, etc. My suggestion is Latin for Justice & equality for all. I see no harm in something like that or similar, & it might be a good idea for our state in particular to add something extra like that, given we are the last state in the union to rid ourselves of any connection to the Confederacy.

Please raise awareness that the Magnolia Flag is a Confederate flag. It will be so embarrassing if we remove a flag for featuring a Confederate symbol and replace it with an actual Confederate flag, all because we don't properly teach history.
That flag had a tree on a white background. Having a Magnolia flower is not a problem...not nearly the same. We are The Magnolia State, so it makes sense.
