I’m sure you have several $60,000 vehicles sitting the driveway. I still like my crotch rocket more. 0-60 in about 2.8 seconds. Yeah, I’ve hit 120 mph on it. Pretty awesome!
If you recently paid $60k on a year-end sale on an MDX with the 2022 models coming out in early 2021, you are a moron.

'Ya know I was thinking the same thing because Acura has totally redone that platform for 2022, and is introducing it a year early. Everything I'm hearing says the new platforms are wider, longer, have more versatility in the drive trains, and offer more torque for heavy hauling. All MUST HAVES if you're going to compete in that market segment (Large Luxury/sport SUVs)

Good call!

You weren't talking about a bike, you were bragging about the Acura. It's not that fast.

Here is my post. Read it slowly. Have your wife read it for you.

You really are special needs.

You really are special needs.

I get to write off expenses on my demo vehicles from my taxes. Know why?

I itemize.

You should try it, it helps you pay less taxes if you're a high income earner. Now admittedly I don't pull down 200K in commissions.....but I do have plenty of itemized deductions that significantly reduce my tax liability on roughly half that income.

Wonder why you don't?

Need an expert CFP? I know a good one.

No, not from the car salesman “who earns six figures.” LOL!

Don’t tell the car salesman, but I just bought an Acura MDX. Pretty sweet ride. It cost more than most of these bozos make in an entire year.
Its a nice car if you cant afford a top shelf ride.

Ask me if I care what you think.

hahahahahahahahahaha!

So then why did you tell everyone on this forum that you earn 250K if you don't care what we think? Why are you bragging about buying a new Acura MDX? Are we supposed to be impressed by that? I thought you didn't care what we think?

What about bragging how fast you travel on your Yamaha? If you don't care what we think, what are we supposed to do with that information?

If he only paid 60k for a 47.5k care Id say he really took that dealer for a ride. I bet his deal was the same make believe guy he talked to about my family. I figure the same guy does his taxes too.

That's why I asked where that purchase was made? It's easy for me to get that Dealer's rate sheets (what they paid for the vehicle) and check their floor, holdbacks, as well as their DCA (Dealer cost allowance) to see if they tagged country or country got a sweet deal? Based on the comments @CAJUNEER made ITT about the onset of the new model for that vehicle, it appears country got tagged.

I can't say I'm surprised though. This is a person who made a year end purchase on a brand new vehicle and can't even get the tax advantages from the sales taxes paid, or registration fees paid because the buyer doesn't know how to itemize a tax return exceeding 200K annually!

He didn't get tagged. He didn't get an MDX.

That's not what we were told. Biden didn't cheat either! [eyeroll]
I bet he took one for a test drive and took selfies in it. Then plastered his Instagram with the pics for his 2 followers to be mesmerized.

I know @countryroads89 doesn't care what we all think, but I wonder if country is even aware of how fully informed we are of country's lack of common sense?

That's probably closer to the truth than signing that rip off deal on that out-of-date vehicle.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Says the guy with a Saturn and a Subaru.

hahahahahahahahaha.

damn Dave. How sad. You don’t even have matching hub caps on the Saturn.

Are you aware of how much residual value you've already lost on that vehicle since an entirely new (and better) model is being introduced even as we speak? Was that a 2022 you just laid out 55K for?

If it was (or anything slightly less than that) you just got your clock cleaned on resale of that vehicle. That's money you will NEVER get back. Seriously, take my CFP's number down, he does resuce missions 'ya know?

I dont have a saturn and what I have doesnt have hub caps at all. I do have about 12 cent per mile lifetime cost in it though. That is how I gauge a solid purchase.

Congrats on paying 12.5k over msrp for a poor mans mid life crisis.

You have a Saturn unless you sold it. You also have Subaru, moron. You had mismatched hub caps on the Saturn. Hahahahaha.
