Just watched today. It was cool to see my childhood hangout, St. Marks Park located off Chandler ave highlighted when they showed Walliyy Dixon in Linden in the episode.

Good watch. So much buzz about Skip back then. Then Tark got his hands on him. Tark put together a super-talented Fresno team, but it didn't really work out for several reasons. I remember they had Skip, they had BC transfer Chris Herron, Cal transfer Tremaine Folkes, 'Cuse transfer Winfred Walton, Larry Abney, Melvin Ely. I mean geez, that team had enough talent to win a Natty. And they were Transfer U. WAY before the portal, ha.

Re: the mix tapes, they were fun to watch back in the day. I remember around the same time they were poppin', I was in NYC near some courts... I forget exactly where but it was in Manhattan, and I walked over to watch a game that was in progress and saw this dude just pullin' up from SILLY far. It was a shorter court and he was taking halfcourt threes like they were nothing. Older cat. Scoring in bunches. So I hung around and waited for the game to end to see if I recognized him and sure enough, boom, it was NYC legend Lloyd Daniels. Pretty sure this was around the time he was a Net or maybe right after. Fun guy to watch in a streetball game, ha. Crazy range.

Ha, I thought this thread was going to be about posters' cassettes of their favorite 80s songs 🙂
