are looking pretty impressive. They beat Wisconsin and Purdue after firing their DC. I hate to say it, but their going to be a tough out going forward. Their manhandling a solid Georgia Tech team right now.
Couldn’t you post this in the Quick Lane post.![]()

Yawn. It's Minnesota. Nuff said.
And we got crushed by Michigan, who got crushed by OSU, who we almost beat. So . . .I don't agree. They destroyed Purdue.

Minnesota concerns me a bit long term, as Lon as Fleck is there. He can recruit. He’s recruited better than recent previous coaches at Minnesota except maybe Mason, better than Iowa, Wisconsin... if they get good coaching they could be our toughest out year in and year out.
On the other hand, it’s minnesota.
So I’m conflicted.
We beat Minnesota by 25. And I think we could have beaten both Wisconsin and Purdue at the end of the season too. They would have lost to both had they played them when we played them too. Minnesota was playing better at the end of the season and so were we.They also beat Wisconsin, so a hierarchy is developed by h2h. They fired their DC and then beat Wisconsin and Purdue. Think what you wish. We lost to both. Minnesota is a physical team the Huskers can't take as an automatic win.

Red Scowl, Merry Christmas! I think one of your presents was a Gopher fixation
Yeah, i ain't afraid of no gopher
I'm always amazed that the main character was Danny Noonan and he was trying to go to NU.You ever watch Caddyshack?
It was a matter of who they played when. It also depends on what your parameter is to say "ended the season". We were 4-2 in the 2nd half of the season with the only 2 losses two close games on the road. They had 2 good games at the end of the season sandwiched around a 10 point loss to Northwestern but before that they had blowout losses to us and Illinois. What we did to them was no fluke either. Who improved more from the beginning to the end? I'd say us.Minnesota and we were playing better at the end of the season. I was just replying to those who dismiss Minnesota. If you are objective, I like how they ended their season better than the Huskers.
