The foul on Young

The osu guy extended his arm into Young. I thought it was flagrant on a defenseless player. It was not just body.

100% the guy made 0 attempt to make a play on the ball it’s the same as a guy who’s on a breakaway and is taken down without trying to make a defensive play only this one was even worse

If you are making 0 attempt to make a play on the ball when a guy is going for a dunk and just push off with your arm down low, that's a dirty unsafe play. If you're contesting the dunk with your hand and body to body hits its more legitimate

Been saying this since the game thread. Was a dirty play, should've been a flagrant 2 with OSU's Young getting tossed and us getting FTs and the ball and maybe we don't lose then. It's hard to see the contact, but it's there and it obviously happened, because players don't go straight up, vertically, and magically twist to veing full horizontal without being pushed.

If a flagrant foul is committed and the fouled player can’t take the shots, does the opposing team forfeit the right to choose the player to take them?

I'm not sure but on a flagrant it may have been Rutgers choice of FT shooter
