That was a ridiculous call and should have cost UK the game.
How on earth is that an F1? He tried to block the ball.
So I guess all you have to do is fly through the air out of control and land hard after contact and you earn an F1.
That's crap.

My problem was not with the call per se but with the fact that I have never seen a F1 for a play like that ever. If they said that kind of contact is dangerous and called it a thousand other times then it would make sense. But, that is NEVER NEVER NEVER call an F1!!!

A flagrant 2 gets a player ejected. I don't think 2 F1's do. But, if anyone can cite the rule, it would help....

it was a horrible call but PJ just walked away, if he had gone over to the player (yes he did look like he was going to get up to fight) they might have not called it. Plus, I think PJ has a tad of a reputation as he has been called a good amount for little fragrant type of fouls when he retaliates like a little extra english with the elbows, nothing violent but just too "cute" not to call.

I don’t even mind if they call a flagrant if the guy is going for the ball. Just because you’re going for the ball shouldn’t give you a free pass to hit a guy as hard as possible.

However, after reviewing it and then still making that call? Takes some major balls or complete ineptitude.

Was at the hospital with my MIL and I told my wife that it was one of the easist calls to make even before watching replay ...all three refs should be suspended!

Y’all I’m prone to boog way too hard when it comes to our beloved HYGs and I can understand that being a questionable call. BUT, aside from the fact we got the *** end of the whistle all night and Ho is prone to expose himself to such things the UK player had no chance whatsoever to make a play on the ball. I honestly think it was the right call. That contact caused Ho to land on his head pretty sure that’s a flagrant every time.

This point can't be stressed enough. What's the point of going to the monitor if it doesn't actually improve the quality of officiating.

That was an incredibly crappy call against us.
I was at my parents watching the game, as we had a big birthday party there for my youngest son.

I told everyone then, I said you just watch, those incompetent refs will call that a flagrant, and of course they did.

I'll be honest and say what I REALLY think: I think those refs, and many more, are taking $$ to influence games. To me, there's just no other logical explanation for the steep decline in officiating the past 10 or so years.
Of course there's always been bad calls, that's going to happen, but I've been watching now for over 50 years, and officiating now is so bad it makes me want to not even watch.

There's too much money floating around in sports; to think refs aren't involved in cheating is naive, IMHO. Not all of them of course, but IMO we have a big problem and we need to figure out how to fix it, and soon.

Exactly what I do. Ask a neutral who could care less of the result. They agreed with your people
