That was the state profile flag and the magnolia flag.
It has a ton of history behind that seal. That’s my favorite one.
Remember, this will NOT be our new flag. Only the flag that goes to the voters on Nov. 4. It's going to be hard for any flag to get a majority of the votes between pissed off old flag supporters, pissed off Stennis flag supporters, and people who may just legitimately not like the flag chosen.
Truth. Covid-19 is so bad that even the Jehovah's Witnesses aren't going door-to-door.

I'm starting to think it's some kind of conspiracy. Someone with a lot of power is pushing to keep that stupid shield flag in this. There is absolutely no reason that flag should be chosen to represent Mississippi out of over 2000 designs.
They've been intentionally screwing with the other two. They changed the circle of 20 stars to include the "diamond star" at the top, and ended up with 10 stars to one side / 9 to the other so it was unsymmetrical. Now they've put 10 stars on each side to make it symmetric. So those two flags have 21 stars... 21 stars to represent the 20th state. wtf? Try to convince me someone's not intentionally trying to get those two knocked out.
I've been supporting the flags with a magnolia since this started, but I fully believe the shield is what we'll be voting for in November because someone with a lot of power on the inside has chosen it.
