It will be done today or tomorrow. The legislature wants to be on the beach next week and not in Jackson dealing with this ****.

You act like Kylin’s position is unreasonable. You’ll be dragged, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century on this issue, and Mississippi will be better for it. I think the words you’re looking for are, “Thank you.”

Nunya is right. What's next? There will be another (fill in the blank).

Yeah, something will be next. Hopefully it will be another overtly racist and oppressive symbol that’s also a rallying cry for backwoods worshippers of a bygone era in American History that the rest of the decent world views as a horrifying example of the evil that humanity is capable of.

No he's not. Sorry, this flag issue just in no way falls into the "what's next" bucket. That is really reaching. The flag is something that we've all known something should have been done about years ago. Been hurting MS both image wise and economically for a long time now. Not only that, a state flag should always be something that ALL the citizens of a state can get behind or at least not be offended by. So even besides the NCAA athletics impact, it will be so good to get that albatross off of the neck of the State.

It was surprising to see him suddenly speak up after having not said anything about the flag or oppression in general over the last few years.
But it has to happen sometime for each person and this is apparently the best time for him. Its great that he is supported by the administration and so many fans.

If he sees or experiences inequality moving forward, hopefully he can use this to know that speaking up can help push change and improvement.

The “what’s next” crowd is rightfully concerned, but the state flag issue doesn’t fall under that umbrella. “What’s next” is a national fight that has nothing to do with our businessmen having to roll around the country explaining why we still have a confederate flag in our state icon in 2020.

Listen to the reasonable people in our state. You know, the ones who have spoken up to change the flag. The “normal” people.

Oh, there are plenty of things that do fall under the 'what's next' umbrella that I am extremely worried about. People are dreaming up stuff to be offended by these days.

I’ll just say... I think Ole Miss has a lot more to be concerned about than we do

Tater I got good news for you. You won’t have a second term so you will not have to hide behind a username in a couple of years.

oddly, that wasn't keeping anyone from leaving that oppressive symbol. BTW, I don't really care either way, but it is fun to watch the concern and threats gather over it where there had been zero.....for years.

Not sure if serious.. This has been a contentious issue for 2 damn decades. Which was about how long ago it was that every other state with the stars and bars saw the light and changed theirs. Our own university, a state funded and operated institution, stopped flying the piece of **** almost 4 years ago.
