Who here is enjoying it? With the transfer portal and NIL....recruiting and retaining a static roster is changing so much. I'm trying to go with the flow. It's almost like being a fan of a pro football team with free agency and contracts. It's interesting to try and figure out what the roster will look like year to year.

I'm diggin' it. December every year now is as fun as draft month is in the NFL but without Mel Kiper. JCF every year now has to cope with early signing, portal recruitment, portal loss, loss of coaches, Christmas shopping, bowl opt outs, and oh btw this year, THE Rose Bowl. I really enjoyed his recent telephone interview from a lonely old airport in Kansas. I want the dude to bask in the knowledge that the NCAA's worst beat media never thought we would be 10-2. All that 7-5 non-sense and he still thanks the ungrateful bastards for covering Penn State football.

Just remember to send a thank you note to Marky Mark Emmert for pushing the NCAA to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by continuing to appeal rulings that the NCAA had basically won.

All is OK for now. If another school throws $$$ at Nick Singleton and he bolts, I may feel differently.

It’s bound to happen at some point with some player we don’t want to lose. On the flip side, the portal has been pretty good to us the last few years.

I absolutely hate that these kids get paid now. I hate it. However, I can’t fault anyone for trying to put themselves in a better situation. I have no idea what anyone’s situation is, so I will do my best to not judge.
