My post was in response to Piggy's assertion that the economy is on fire and at democrats should not run on it. That is not true in any way shape or form. The polls from Real Clear Politics show that Americans are not satisfied to the job Trump is doing with the economy. He's at the top of the heap so he gets the blame.

democrats for sure will run on the economy...key word is affordability...although there is little a Democrat controlled Congress can do about it. So they'll blame trump and republicans for high prices, win one, maybe both chambers.

Then for 2028, affordability will be an issue, still. Republicans will run on the fact that democrats promised to reduce prices..they "lied", to coin a phrase used to describe Trumps similar promise in 2024...and the circle will continue..

Historically overall prices don't retreat to previous levels after periods of inflation...I doubt if this time will be different

Going back to debt, how much of these profits are from the other column? I believe this is a big question in the ai area in particular. All of these military actions will boost corporate profits paid out from tax payers increasing national debt............

It takes a lot to believe this intersection of government, corporate and public debt is going to magically resolve anytime soon through growth. If we have not yet crossed the event horizon, we are unknowingly being pulled into it.
