I saw this announced on OWH. Could be just two guys decided to retire around the same time. Or could be due to friction and differences of opinion about the gazillion dollar Memorial Stadium upgrade.

Both class guys very good at their jobs. My guess -- an agreement that it was time to retire.
John was head facilities guy while Bob has been an athletics administrator for decades. Texas Tech hired him from the NCAA to clean up a mess on that campus in the late 90s. He returned home to UNL (Falls City native, UNL grad) a few years later and rose as high as #2 in the department, surviving under multiple athletic directors (an amazing feat in and of itself). Came very close to being hired as Colorado AD some years ago. Likely some differences of opinion with Trev but, again, my guess is that the partings were cordial, knowing the personalities involved

I thought it was decent, but DiCaprio was pretty bad in that one. Usually don’t mind him in most stuff. He’s always been “ok”. After all, he had to get raped by a bear to finally get an Oscar
