They are not glass half full types; they are 2 glasses too many types.I don't know any of those posters but more power to them for being glass half full lol, I'm too much of a realist to get my hopes up for anything and have a knack for recognizing patterns hence this post.
It's actually so f*cking funny how predictable it is, I'm not even mad anymore I respect the hell out of how shameless Cal is being this bad while cashing in $9M a year lmaoRinse & repeat
Trust the process. Mark it down, we'll beat Kansas handedly this year and optimism will be high. But don't forget what happens after those stepsNot sure we will even get to steps 4/5 at this rate this year.
You're probably right, though I wouldn't be surprised if we have a random perfect performance against Kansas then proceed to get pummeled in SEC playI think Coach Cow is so washed that we don’t even get to step 4.
Yeah, he makes those poor JV teams pay for losses to decent teams.Don't worry, we'll beat NORTH FLORIDA by 30 in a few days and he'll claim we are looking great again
You are wrong sir we were seeded higher than K St when we lost to them as we were when we lost to Auburn, not to mention the Wisconsin game or the Uconn game. The fact is every loss Cal has in tourney but 1 I believe 2as to a LOWER SEEDED teamThat has happened what 2 times? 2013 team sucked, 2016 team got beat in 2nd rd, 2018 team lost in sweet 16, 2020 no tourney, 2021 COVID year all young teams were horrible even Duke. Last year and 2016 is the only years we get knocked out early.
Bill Self isn’t going to play us the same way. He won’t run this time, unless he thinks he has better horses. And he doesn’t have to worry about our PF making midrange jumpers.Trust the process. Mark it down, we'll beat Kansas handedly this year and optimism will be high. But don't forget what happens after those steps
Truth....sad but it's the truth.Posted this in another thread before, but hilariously still applies:
Step 1: Enter season highly ranked with Final 4 and National Championship aspirations (CHECK)
Step 2: Lose first highly ranked matchup of the season (Usually Duke, Michigan State, this season Gonzaga) and potentially get upset by a non-ranked team (CHECK)
Step 3: Continue to play lifeless basketball through November and early December (YOU ARE HERE)
Step 4: Beat highly ranked opponent in December/January, team is starting to look decent
Step 5: Win some tough games against ranked SEC teams (rarely are the wins against Tennessee), lose some away SEC games to terrible teams, but overall team is looking decent to good for March
Step 6: Enter March Madness with legitimate Final 4 hopes
Step 7: Lose to a lower ranked seed in a game where the offense looks terrible
Step 8: Lose at least half the team to the NBA
Step 9: Repeat!
Saw that show way too many times, but expect it will continue.Posted this in another thread before, but hilariously still applies:
