Boards not the same without a doubt,people post about foot fungus,vacations,crabgrass because recruiting and buzz of the program is at a very low level.

You would've loved the boards before Schiano - very few OT posts because there simply weren't very many fans/posters to begin with. Anyone who lived through the Shea Error, in particular, will always feel a pretty big debt of gratitude to Schiano for at least getting us to regular moderate success, highlighted by that magical 2006 season, which is the main reason why we have a nice stadium and are in the B1G. Now we just have to get back to respectability (6-8 wins a year) to make this a fun place again.

I don't know the history between these posters but I'd guess that it's fair to say that a little bad blood is involved among them.

I don't know who you are responding to, because I have d-bags on ignore--but it is pretty easy to guess. One of the posters is a Penn State fan, another one is a notorious jerk on this board who spends more time starting fights and insulting people than making any positive contributions, and the third one got put on ignore this week for being a douche and making some really odd and creepy comments. I don't have time for these d-bags, and it is simple and easy to use the ignore feature. This is my last post on this, because I have already spent more time on this nonsense than I should have. The board seems a bit slow because our recruiting is still behind last year's pace, which was decent, but not great. So combine 2-10 record with some epic butt whippings, and now a slower recruiting season, and the natives get restless. A few good commits (3-4 star ) starts putting more juice into the slow season. I think by this time last year we had commits from Melton, Lewis and Clark and Beatty).

Why many have been in epic battles on this board, have done some name slinging, etc...and yet, never been banned or warned. I think it's safe to say the person who is calling others huge douche bags and saying they belong on short buses while circle jerking is probably the one engaging in a childish pissing match.

I have no way of proving if you ever went to a mod to have me banned recently. However, I do remember posting a highly inappropriate remark regarding our former AD and some women on the search committee. I made some disparaging remarks about her sexual orientation and you completely flipped out!! I got banned for nearly 2 years? So don't BS us and say that you've never reached out to Mods because that's not true!

When we moved to NJ due to the close proximity to the campus I started following the team and attending games both at the old Stadium and the Meadowlands. I didn't know that one of the prerequisites of being a Rutgers fan was to isolate yourself from the rest of the college football world. Your post is insane.

Just to clarify what happens sometimes. Usually, posters do not ask mods to ban anyone. They may ask a mod or the owner to take a look at a certain post or thread and the mod ends up taking the action they feel is appropriate. They do NOT ban anyone just because another member asks them to. Unless you are nuts, then it has always been posters controlling his situation. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::flushed:

I have no recollection of any of this, but do have a simple question. If you have no way of knowing if KS went to a mod, how do you later say that he has reached out to the mods in the past? Logic failure.

From my conversations with various mods (I've met several of them at one time or another) and from reading their posts about how they moderate the board, they don't ban people based on complaints to them, but rather on their assessment of the posts people might be complaining about vs. the guidelines John O has given them on moderating the board.

Don't disagree with you at all. The only reason to ever let a mod know about a thread or a post is if it clearly violates their rules. And I'm not talking naked ladies. But more of the type if a poster clearly states something way out of line regarding a player, recruit, etc
It's funny - you and I have battled many times and very often on the opposite side of arguments. But have never found anything from you to be personal.
The other funny thing is that the one single poster who bitches the most about posters going to the mods on him is the single poster who bothers the mods the most and is relentless about it. It's kind of "nuts" hahahahahaha
