So far, two BIG underdogs have advanced to the Sweet 16 and three more teams, including 2 heavy favorites have a chance to get there today. Maybe we just weren't paying close enough attention and it was the BIG in women's basketball that is the toughest conference this year.

Iowa and Michigan have already advanced.
Indiana and Maryland are heavy favorites to do the same today.
And then there's the Cats! It will be a tough hill to climb, but an upset over Louisville could see 5 BIG teams in the Sweet 16.

I don't think anyone beats UConn this year, but I could be wrong. They actually haven't won it in a few years now, which is just weird!
Maryland is bigger than UCONN and just as athletic. Like NU to a much smaller extent, UCONN is vulnerable on the glass / inside. I’m a UCONN fan but I agree with Gato (in this one case alone, lol) that Maryland is a legit threat to win it all.

Exactly, everyone knew the B1G was the best basketball conference in the country. We just had the gender wrong!
