Not bad at all. Only combined for 35 minutes but a solid stat line overall.

8 points on 3 of 5 shooting. 6 rebounds. 2 steal. No turnovers.

Couldn’t have hoped for better. Really encouraged by Duke’s defense today. He wasn’t out of position and played smart.

Agreed. The only thing I really didn’t like was Riebers 3 point shot early in the shot clock

These guys provided HUGE 1st half minutes that helped to keep Geo, Paul, Myles, Tez, and JY on the floor practically the entire 2nd half! They also held their own out there with Oscar nailing a corner 3 and a nifty up-and-under move by Reiber! Duke was A+ on D as well and all hustled/played scrappy (which some starters didn't do at the end of the 1st half and the 1st 10-minutes of the 2nd half)!!!

Hindsight is always 20/20 but if Pike had played a deeper bench against OSU, especially Reiber maybe we are still undefeated. That being said, in the long run, losing to OSU may pay dividends down the road when we need a gut check later in the season when it really matters like in the B1G tourney or the NCAAs.

We were down when Reiber and Palmquist both entered the game first half. That's when fans were probably freaking out, but it ended up being the start of our big first half run

Seeing them in reminded me what had previously been our strength which was our length. Even though Harper is more than capable of playing the 4, I think we would be better off if someone develops into the 4 spot since lengthwise we are much better off with Harper at the 3. Of course, Caleb would solve a lot of that also. In either event, while offensively we are light years ahead of last year, our physicality and dominance on the offensive and defensive boards and defensively is lacking compared to last year.

I was impressed with Reiber’s effort to body their bigger guys while still doing pretty well keeping their faster ones in front of him. Except for a few times it did look like he belonged on the floor.

The converse of that is guys didn't seem to want to pass him the ball when he was open in a shooting position.

Thus I'm OK with him forcing one. Don't want that consistently, but the confidence to shoot is a good thing.
