We all know what the 3-3-5 did for us under JWS and JLD. It was record setting. 39 sacks in year one. ETC...
Now, we have that system under Leach. The differences I see. The defense was never tired. They defended well. Not great, but well. But the schemes.... the hiding of blitzes and dropping back to take throwing lanes away. That kept the the OL and the QB of LSU confused and it resulted in 7 sacks.
The fact that this defense is getting 60 reps because they are going up against the 1s has made this defense better than expected. Arnett, is a mastermind with it.
