There is nothing "wrong" with what Hobbs was wearing, but I think I would have worn a suit to emphasize the importance of the occasion. And I hate wearing so much as a necktie, let alone a suit. But I am old, and so your mileage may vary.

BTN Just showed clip of part of day's activities for football 150 - I was going to post that description of what Hobbs was wearing during the day. RED sweater vest also. Maybe the tv production people mentioned TV colors?
you guys crack me up with this over analysis. Its because its a different angle from left foot to right foot and the sandals look different because you are seeing them from two different sides and can't see the loops on the right side of the right one. Geez.
He just wore freakin sandals. That is all. He's a college prof. right? Surprised he didn't wear a Hawaiian shirt.

So after talking to others (and some of the same people) at the RAC last night, it seems that Schiano had no unreasonable demands, and that all that remains is going through the paperwork.
Note that I didn't talk to anyone actually involved in the meeting with Schiano, but to people who talked to those involved (or in some cases, another level removed). So I don't know if the reports of Schiano making unreasonable demands were overblown, if Rutgers originally thought the demands were unreasonable and acquiesced, or if Rutgers walked out of the meeting saying that Schiano was asking for a lot and then realized we are planning to do all of it anyway.
The quote I loved from Alvarado was when OT was introduced while he was the Wisky HC. When asked whether he would choose to play offense or defense if he won the OT toss he said:
"I'd choose to have them drive past the student section. By overtime they'll be so blitzed they'd scare the hell out of anybody. "

Other possibilities are that the reporting on the meeting made a mountain out of a mole hill or that the author received information from a misinformed source.
