Sorry to hear the news about both you and your furry friend. Hopefully you can find alternative treatment options that do exist if you feel inclined to try. We are all together in this odd thing we call life. It's real simple when you receive terrible news, all that worry you may have had about things like what kind of car or status do you have compared to your peers just dissolves. All of that negativity or perceived issues with those who are different in anyway becomes so trivial that you wonder why you ever worried about it at all.
In the end we all are given a limited trial run on this journey we call life. I struggle with my feelings on this sometime but eventually come to peace with the fact God loves me and I have a permanent home awaiting me in his kingdom when all of this ends. If/when you overcome this disease, I hope you can discover and hold onto the feeling of clarity you achieved when you thought your time was up . People beat cancer and outlive doctors timelines all the time. Just know that you are loved and that you have a permanent home awaiting you once it's time to move on.
We are all on this journey together, in 100 years just about everybody alive today will be passed on and hopefully we can all find our true and permanent home. Good luck on this fight, God may not be ready for you to come home. You might just have more to do and see in this life. Perhaps even seeing a Mountaineer athletic championship
God Bless!
