Do you have a link? What I read in the rule book clearly states only for the remainder of the game. Exceptions being if the foul was missed and player was not ejected during the game or if the player left their designated area at halftime to commit the penalty.

The next game disqualification is spelled out specifically on the targetting rule but not on unsportsmanlike conduct.

Abrams may be a worry since they appeared to have missed his somehow.
