I don’t believe they can wait till Oct. 1. They will lose the team, fans, and a lot more. Too late for that. I’m hoping he is gone tomorrow.
Why nothing changes. Do it on the first and save the money because the new coach is probably gonna cost $100 million

Our linebackers suck across the board.

15 has no clue what hes doing.
What do you expect when the LB coach can’t recruit outside of Lincoln and Omaha (and recruiting many kids who no one else is). But he’s a Husker legend so we can’t talk about that

Or how about taking the little depth you have at MLB and telling CK to slim down so he can play nickel. How f-ing dumb are these coaches. They only ever prepared for best case scenarios.

I was a big fan of Frost and Ruud as players but they just suck as coaches.

We were 214-0 when scoring 35+ at home. Frost even fu@ked that up tonight too. Fu@k him

I’m not sure whatever happens is going to matter. This program was just brutally murdered by Georgia Southern. Literally one of the worst programs in college football.

Jeff Monken is a good G5 coach but unproven at the Power 5 level. Sound familiar?
Winning at a service academy takes a special coach who can squeeze every bit of talent and heart from his players. His team is always smaller, slower, (smarter) than their opponents, but Good Lord, they bring it! Lost today to a very good UTSA 41-38, but with P5 athletes, he'd be contending for titles.

UTSA and Coastal Carolina are probably the two best teams Army faces all year. If he coaches at Nebraska, he has to face the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin year after year. He might have more talent to work with at Nebraska but the level of competition is far greater as well.

Our pass rush specialist Nelson runs 5 yards upfield as always, qb runs right underneath him...easy peasy
You are so right. Ga Southern's quarterback is too good of a thrower to allow to stand in the pocket and choose what receiver he wanted to hit. It happened today in the Alabama vs Texas game. A Texas defender when blitzing Alabama's quarterback, Bryce Young went way too high. Therefore Young was able to duck under the defender's grasp and gain 15-20 yards. If the Texas defender had been able to take Young to the ground for a loss on that play Alabama may have run out of time and not been able to kick the winning FG.

It is 9:32 PM PDT. I just went out to the front porch and brought my Nebraska flag in. I laughed to myself. I can remember when I use to worry some smart-*** Husky or Cougar fan would steal it. I don't think it gets much attention these days. I have a huge old school bell that has been in my family for 60 years. It has been with us in 5 different states and both sides of the Cascades in Washington. It is made from cast iron. I don't know how much it weighs but I will only move it with the help of two other people. The bell has been rung after many Husker victories. Last week after our big North Dakota win, Howie, who lives behind our house on the other side of the irrigation canal texted me, "So what is going on?" I guess with the infrequent victories the neighbors are not use to the bell ringing.

Jeff Monken? Might as well bring back smiling Mike Riley. Just going after another re-thread is not going to change anything.
In Mike Riley's defense, he did have one good season at Nebraska. Mike Riley would honestly be an upgrade over what we have now.

And if he hadn't had a gun put to his head to hire Bob Diaco, maybe 2017 would have been at least another 6-win season, we'll never know 😒

#15 is a freshman and he is our starting linebacker? Where is everybody else? Wtf is Rudd doing?
Same thing he has done for years now. Being thankful that he became a power-five coach with no experience based on his pedigree as a former player.

Mark Banker wasn't a great DC by any means, but he was far better than Diaco, Cosgrove, or Chinander.

I agree! Problem with waiting until October 1st is what if he wins the next two. Then Alberts has a tougher decision. Optics will look bad, and we are all about how we look. Don't wait. Rip that bandaid off. Sure, there will be crying. You fans that are holding on, "There's no crying in college football!"

If Trev doesn't have the nads to fire Frost, then he needs to be fired first.
What makes you think he isn't going to fire Frost? He was pretty clear going into the season that he thought Frost had a very tough task in front of him.

I really wanted this to work this year for frost. Thought new coaches and players would get us going. We are poorly coached and just not tough enough on both lines. I have watched most of the big team play this year and I don’t think we could beat any of them

Frankly, I will be pissed if they do it before Osctober 1 and give him the extra $7M or whatever it would be now. the damage is done. It isnt going to get any better between now and then, with or without him. Make him stew - dead man walking sort of thing - for the next 3 weeks. Reassign him if you can, but don’t give the guy one red cent more than you absolutely must.

What if a giant, anthropomorphic saxophone from outer space crashed into the stadium and began to dance and spray maple syrup out of its bell? As long as we're discussing impossible scenarios 😮
