My main takeaway from the deluge of political ads is how negative all of them were. 100% attack ads, because interviews and research have told the people putting them out that attack ads are effective. It is hardly surprising that an electorate forced to sit through a deluge of mudslinging has a negative opinion of politicians in general.

yea, all the negativism is disappointing, and some of it is on the edge of honesty...but like, you said, the attack ads are effective....

unlike on the board, here, the more people who attack you, the stronger you become...:)

You know someone (in this case Hermy) has a problem when he's constantly in threads calling a multitude of people "unhinged," "********," etc., while at the same time claiming to be the soul of moderation and civility. At some point, he should be asking himself if maybe the real problem is him, not them. This may help explain why he lives in s small hovel with an unpaved driveway, in the middle of nowhere, with tomatoes as his only friends.

Sigh, I feel like it's been discussed a thousand times already and you've been here the entire time.

JHP had asked if I wanted to bet on the Wisconsin Gov. election earlier in the year and I apparently said sure but it barely registered with me because I don't care about his nonsense.

So later down the road, he asked me if it was still on and since I had forgotten the terms, I asked him to remind me.

In his response, instead of acting like an adult and telling me the terms, he decided to insult me instead so I told him to go F himself. It didn't have a damn thing to do with being afraid of the outcome, my self-respect matters more because if you're going to make a deal with me, I expect to do it with an adult only, not a foul-mouthed incel.

So that turned out to be manna from heaven for the trolls because it gave them something to harass me about, which they never tire of because they're trolls. JHP especially has no life so he even started a thread about it.

So to shut them up, I agreed to re-join the bet months ago but he and the other trolls refused to take me up on it because they had already gotten what they wanted - a reason to harass me relentlessly because they're simpletons. I repeat, I agreed to re-join the bet months ago but they don't acknowledge that and don't care.

So Papa Ganoush, who is supposedly a successful businessman who also insists that Dems conspired with China to create a new virus that would kill 8 million people to keep Trump from winning, and truly believes it, decided that he needed to take his own potshots from the sidelines because he is now aligned with the board trolls. I've known him for years and he's gotten progressively dumber and stranger.

As you've probably noticed, just like JHP, he has nothing of substance to say about anything, he just lobs insults from the sidelines at people who don't love Trump as much as he does. I'm his favorite target because I've embarrassed him too many times over the years.

So today for the 100th time, he pops up from his hole in the ground to take the same potshot he's lobbed at me weekly. When I reponded to his insult with my own, you attacked me, not him .

Got it? Now please tell the trolls we're all tired of the clutter they spread all over the board for their jollies only. K?

well, I admit, this is one of the things I guess I missed, because it has no meaning for me...I'd say a couple of things, yes, it's time to move on...everybody has made their points,,,and as the debate goes on and on and on, those points become more and more meaningless..

and, you should just ignore it. Obviously these posts get under your skin...and your responses only keep the "niggling" going

Can't we just get back to calling each other names. The election today should give supporters of each party more. fresh ammunition and that's so much more "adult".

Interesting question … what’s more concerning … an emboldened Trump or a lame duck Trump???

I dunno … 🤷‍♂️ also I fully expect that the Republicans that remain will do everything they can to distance themselves from Trump.

I accept the loss. My prediction was wrong. Bad night for Republicans who honestly as I have stated on this board performed sub standard in codifying the Trump agenda with a few exceptions the last 2 years. The Iran operation obviously hurt Trump and the Republicans by default.

Thune better get off his keester and pass a few important things between now and the end of the year.
