Yes, Sturtz didnt have his best game, he looked tired at times although I havent watched him play much, and except for a bit of a scoring slump at the end of the first half and the bad start at the 2nd half the hawks probably would have and should have won.

I like their chances in a lot of games

You’re not convincing me that isu can play that aggressive of defense and foul 11 ******* times all game for 5 ft’s. Its a crock of **** and everyone knows it

Someone else is going to need to emerge as a primary scorer to take the pressure off Stirtz but I'm not sure they have it. They're doing it by committee right now which is great, but man I wish this team had a Jok, Uthoff, or Weiskamp type player. I think Koch and Folgueras can get there, but probably a year or two out.

Jefferson went full Zach Edey or Shaq mode, taking 3 or 4 steps and bull in a China shop in the paint throwing elbows and got bailed out several times. A few odd bounces too similar to football this season too, but hell took the #4 team to the wire on the road with your stud under double digits on offense is pretty damn impressive. Just get this team to tourney, or SOR, etc should be looking good shortly + the NET.

In the games against Mich St, Maryland, and Iowa St, our opponents have attempted 86 free throw vs 35 for us. Yes, we do foul a lot, and in over 50 years of watching basketball, I’ve learned not to complain about the refs, but tonight did feel like the refs were calling too many fouls on us. Maybe Ben needs to be a bit more vocal, not like Fran, but work the refs a bit. And I didn’t expect tonight’s score to be this close. So, I’m proud of the way they played.
