That is a bad loss

Malachi Flynn is the best PG in the country to me.

I like his game too. He doesn't turn the ball over much, is capable from 3, and does a little bit of everything else. Matter of fact, if you look at his numbers it's pretty hard to say he isn't the best PG. The one thing I will say for Dotson is he faces better competition(that makes me want to vomit because that conference is overrated) on a nightly basis.

Yeah. I told the wife earlier that UK just might finish the season ranked top 4 or 5 in the country. Top 5 in the country and a 4 seed?! Yeah right, Joe Lunardi.
Seriously!! Is that not the funniest thing we’ve ever heard of? Even being number 8 in the country, we should at the very least be the worst 2 seed! But no!!! We lost a game early in the season before we knew how to play defense, and had no idea how we were going to play on offense, we must be a four or five seed! Lmao. I hate to be one of the ‘this isn’t fair’ guys, but I will say, some people do make a living by trolling us for clicks and we get the worst PR for it.

The fact of the matter is, If you’ve watched Kentucky play Basketball the last few weeks and don’t think they’re a top five team who should be the first or second 2 seed , you’ve lost all credibility.
I really didn’t think we would have the chance, but we actually have a slim chance at moving up to a one seed by the end. We would need to win out and would definitely need some teams ahead to lose, but it’s absolutely possible. I really don’t see much difference between a one or two anyway and won’t care either way, but it’s going to be cool to see how it plays out.

All these experts are looking pretty damn stupid if you ask me. Haha.

My wife said earlier, while we were discussing it, that she thinks UK might very well end up with a 1, if everything falls right. I’m hoping so, but I don’t see it.

I hope UVA beats them. If that happens they are indeed falling off. A loss to them puts them 13th in the polls and a 3 seed.

We should definitely be at minimum the #6 Ranked team in the country as of tonight, and 100% a 2 seed. If anyone says differently they are just wanting a fight, and If there’s one thing in the world a Kentucky fan is Ready for is a fight. Lol. Wooo. Go Cats

Our problem is our weak schedule, bad loss(es), and a weak conference. Our non-conference schedule should be much tougher. In comparison KU played Duke, BYU, Dayton, Colorado, and Villanova. We played MSU, OhSU, UL, and TTech. Not saying it's our fault, as they all ended up being weaker than they should have been, just that we really haven't beaten anyone yet... and we are squeaking by teams we should rout... if we really are the #6 team. TAMU is terrible... they left us wide-open repeatedly. It's fun not to lose... but I have no gauge for this team yet.

There’s not a doubt in my mind that we’re the better team. We’ve been steadily improving every single week and are right where we need to be to win the whole thing.
You're bias is showing. That's not to say you're wrong about us winning a title... but there has been nothing in our recent win streak to suggest anything great is happening with this team. Auburn is the only decent team we play in conference... we win this weekend and I'll start to agree w/ you.

I just.....

The stats boys that constantly rush in to defend and explain this pos system known as the NET are some of the most delusional bastards I’ve ever seen in my life.

“Kentucky doesn’t win by enough”

While Duke gets curb stomped again......

It’s probably the most mentally handicapped sht I’ve ever seen.

Wake Forest's 113 points are the fourth most by an unranked team in a win against an AP top 10 team in the poll era.

Dook is stacking up records as they lose their 3rd game against a team that they were a 10+ or more point favorite against. The 113 is the most points ever scored against rat and the second most ever scored against Dook.

Bias or not, I know Basketball. I’ve played and watched the game all my life and trust my eyes as much as anyone. No our schedule hasn’t been great by any means, but there isn’t any dominant teams in college basketball this year and we’re playing as well as anyone else.

Yeah some early season struggles hurt our rankings, but there’s just not five teams out there that’s head and shoulders above us. There’s just not! I said I thought we have a really good chance at winning the championship and stand by that statement. If you can’t see that this team getting better I can’t help you, but I’ve saw every team ahead of us play multiple times and if we play like we’re capable of we can beat anyone of them.

Also, you don’t have to blow teams out to be a great team. At the end of the day all that matters is if you win the game or not! We’ve been improving steadily and continue to play better and better defense, we’re right where we need to be. As far as this weekend goes, anything can happen towards the end of the year when teams need wins to get better seedings, win or lose won’t change my mind of what we’re capable of in the tournament.

Its ok you not wanting to be overly excited about Kentucky right now, you have every right to believe in them or not, that’s up to you. I definitely don’t agree with you, I just think they’ve got everything they need to win the title and are putting it all together at the right time. Now, yes of course we have a few things to work on, but Cal will have them ready to win every game they play.

Winning a championship is hard and only one team every year can win it, we’re 100% one of those teams that can do it though. Thanks, from that bias guy! Ha! Go Cats!!

Funny thing is that people will complain about our projected seed but then they don't even think we are legit and have any shot to win it.

I blame North Carolina. They had Duke beat and snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory multiple times.

Had UNC*** finished the job, Duke would be the one starring at a 4 seed.
You never hear them say anything about a bad win but that one was for Duke.;)

I'm not complaining about our projected seed... or even our ranking... just saying we really haven't done anything yet. I have no idea how good this team is. A&M didn't even try to defend the perimeter.
Duke, (the subject of OP anyway), on the other hand, has been tested... and they've failed repeatedly. I like our chances against them.

I wasn't necessarily meaning that about you just that we have some people on here who complain about our seeding in one post and then pick 4 other teams as their final four because they aren't convinced we are good enough to make the final four.

So, winning isn't great?? And before your get into all the blowing teams out and bad competition, Duke played Wake Forest, and lost. Wake has a losing record, and has played as many games against their own conference as games outside, and that conference currently has 3-4 NCAA teams, same as the SEC. At least T A&M had a winning record and had been playing well. Duke also lost by 22 points to a buble team at best. and that same buble team just lost to 11-17 UNC.

Just the fact that they are winning against fairly decent competition should be great. I mean in the 17 games since Las Vegas, they are 15-2, with a 2-1 record against ranked competition, have only played 4 games against teams with losing records, and the only 2 losses are to top 75 teams who are both in the top half of the league on the road. And one was at the beginning of conference play. I'd say that is pretty good. The SEC isn't great, but do you know the only other teams in the CAL era to be 13-2 at this point?? 2010, 2012, 2015. I mean this has to be the worst 23-5 team that has ever been put together. At some point, simply winning, and winning a lot matters. Do you think this is the same team that lost to Evansville?? What about the one that went 0-2 in Las Vegas? Or really even the one that lost @ South Carolina? Nope.

It absolutely is. Which is why I can say that Duke is definitely not a great team, whereas the jury is still out (IMO) on us. We gotta play who's on the schedule and it just worked out that some teams that were much better on paper ended up being less so. Our record hasn't given me a good or bad feeling. It's like KU winning their conference every year... it's not much of a gauge for how good they were (or weren't). The great thing about college basketball, is we'll definitely get our chance to find out how good we are.

Nuance is all good. But come on. Evansville wasn't going to be drastically different than they have been. They're terrible. We lost to them. It is what it is.
They also weren’t going to be this bad (plus they lost their leading scorer in early January). That’s all.
