I’ve got a couple of things… no knowledge, just guesses.
No way EJ comes back if Satt actually said that too him. It would be a “me or him” conversation with the coaches, and they chose Satt. His return tells me Satt didn’t say what was reported by said podcaster.
If Satt did say that, it would be corroborated by the players he allegedly said it in front of, and he would no longer be a Nebraska coach. But he is still a Husker coach, meaning no one went to Rhule and shared what they “heard”.
Just play it out a bit… Satt comes to practice drunk, tells off EJ in front of his teammates, and no one else has spoken about it?
Maybe I’m wrong, maybe other players have said something, I’m not on social media. But if Satt truly did this, there would be a bit of a mutiny on our hands, in my opinion.

if what you’re saying is true, we would have a hell of a lot more players portalling rather than stay at a university where the coaching staff allows this kind of behavior.

I'm sure it's possible to negotiate NIL while the player is still on the roster. There shouldn't be a need for a player to enter the portal before negotiations happen, and if that's happening more often than not, we're doing something very wrong. This NIL stuff should all be settled by late Oct.

I’ve always gotten the sense he was UCF. He showed up right after Froat was hired, and there was something very early on in his posting that pointed to UCF. Just can’t remember the specifics.
The thing that struck me as odd about the allegations is why would Satterfield hate Emmett Johnson? And even if he did hate him, why would he tell Johnson that he hated him in front of others? It just doesn't make sense.

The most likely scenario is EJ felt disrespected after showing he was the best back 2 years in a row but not getting carries like the #1 should. He put together some good film at the end of the year so thought, f it, I'm gone. DH hears about it and says, whoa, your my guy.

None of it makes any sense. As others have said, if any of that was even remotely true we’d be having a mass defection on the offensive side of the ball. Kids who train, work, study and sacrifice everyday aren’t gonna stick around (or put up with) a place that puts a slobbering drunk in charge of their future.
IDK if Satt has a drinking problem or not, but I highly doubt he showed up to practice hammered and went on a drunken tirade. Yes, he sucks as a coach and he won’t be here next year so... No need to demonize him. Just let this play out.
Tomorrow hasn't hit yet. There will be a bunch hitting the portal tomorrow. To make it clear, someone asked what was said and this isn't something I derived up. I think whoever does is gonna be walkons. Got to get the roster down to 105 after we just added 20. I shoulda said few not as in 3 but shouldn't have said a bunch. Tomorrow is the 1st day of the open portal. We could also end up with a couple of portal guys tomorrow as well.
