I guess sharing that article last night was premature. I was assuming that Cody Campbell (newly minted billionaire that played for Leach and was part of his first recruiting class) was the writer's source (Campbell lives in Fort Worth which is where the article came from.) Campbell is on the Texas Tech Board of Regents and the football coach search committee. According to this twitter post from a few minutes ago, it looks like he has his man... No idea why Lou Holtz is there.

Please don't tell me that Jimmy Sexton is the Pirate's agent? That would suck the Christmas spirit right out of me. I hated late Nov and all Dec when Don Mullet was our coach.

Not represented by Sexton. At WSU he was represented by Matt O'Hagan, who shopped him around to pretty much every SEC opening. Couldn't find much on O'Hagan, except he may have once been with IMG.

The key there is he was shopping to get back to the SEC. I think he wanted to get to and coach in the best conference in the US and we are fortunate that he landed here.

CML has a $2.5M lawsuit still pending against Texas Tech. I don't see how they could even begin negotiations with him until they, "Show him the MONEY!"
